Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!
We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
- PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

We’ve decided not to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, but I just happened to find a little book I made of “50 things I Love About You” from about 5 years ago – before we were married. I was up to 45 things and then forgot about it, so I’m going to finish off the book and leave it in my husband’s car Thursday morning!

No valentine’s day do-up, its just a Hallmark holiday. If the hubs or I want to show our love and affection, it should happen spontaneously in the moment, not because we’re dictated to have flowers and chocolate and candles. Little man isn’t old enough for valentines yet, but I’m sure we’ll have a messy craft time in the future when he is!
Crystal says
Jewel Me!!
My husband and I will treat it like any other night – no need for a special day for love!

We’ve been going in too many directions lately that it gets hard to plan ahead. It seems that every moment is booked – OR – when we do find ourselves with a free night we simply enjoy the calm by being couch potatoes. For whatever reason, last Saturday night we found ourselves commitment-free with no kids home. And we actually had enough energy to get off the couch, clean ourselves up a bit, and head out into the world. We called it our early Valentine’s Day. So fun!

We celebrate love everyday in this family! But my dear hubby surprised me with dinner and a broadway play the other week to see Dan Stevens…you know ‘Matthew’ from Downton because I’m a huge BBC nerd. It was awesome.

My v day will be spent with women (and those who love them) from nearly 200 countries dancing & calling for an end to violence against women & girls. I’m one of the local organizers for ONE BILLION RISING! Because one billion women hurt is a tragedy, but one billion women dancing…that’s a revolution!
