Fab Freebie: A Simplified New Year

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down for special discount and to see who won!***

If the words “simplify,” “organize,” “declutter” or “make more time for [blank]” will be showing up on your resolution list this year, boy do we have the giveaway for you. Simplify 101 provides all sorts of fun interactive tips and online workshops to help you achieve those goals, and this week a trio of you will win TWO free workshops.

Simpify 101 Giveaway

Our three winners can choose from any of the following workshops being held early next year: “Quick + Simple Clutter Control,” “How To Achieve Your Goals And Create A Life You Love,” “Organizing 101” and “It’s About Time: How To Have More Fun and Get More Done.” Oh and all of you can get a taste of Simplify 101’s helpful advice by downloading their free “How To Create A Command Central Binder” guide. We’ve also got a special discount ready to announce on Thursday, so check back for that in a few days. But enough chatter, here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: Your choice of any two Simplify 101 workshops being held in January or February.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SIMPLIFY ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re looking to simplify, organize, declutter, or streamline your life in 2011. We’d love some great ideas for our own list of 2011 resolutions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 29th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three!
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we announce our trio of winner, know that Simplify 101 is offering 15% off enrollment through January 3rd, 2011 with code SAVE15YHL at checkout. (Note: the “It’s About Time” workshop is currently offered at 20% Early Bird savings, so this 15% off can’t be combined with it)

On to our winners. The lucky three entrants that random.org chose are… Sarah Thimmes (who’s looking to organize her homeschool supplies and make more time for poetry writing), Kelsey R (who wants to really use her planner all year)and Tiffany (who just gave birth to baby girl on Christmas Eve. Wow!). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Simplify 101.

    SIMPLIFY ME!

Our plan is to organise and sort the cupboards in our house this year. We moved in 6 months ago and focused on renovating & redecorating the house & we haven’t got round to sorting out the storage cupboards that we shoved stuff in when we moved in.

I love to be organized but I don’t go about it the right way, so much so I put my USB memory stick someplace that I thought I would remember and lo’ and behold I can’t find it. My office would really benefit.

Since I started a regular freelancing job on top of my day job, I need to figure out a good filing system for tax purposes. And my fixer-upper of a house needs some tweaks to make it more functional so I can make the most out of the space.

My husband and I have an 18 month old and are getting ready to try for our second. It’s going to be a tight squeeze in our current home, but we aren’t ready to sell yet. So our plan is to reorganize, simplify, and squeeze every inch out of our 1200 sq ft home. And we just aren’t very good organizers or simplifiers… Please help!!! ;)

Youngsters, I’ve entered a lot of contests. However, this one truly speaks to my heart. I would love this.

I’m currently trying to simplify by donating as I clean. I love the idea of blessing others while simplifying my own life.

Ah where to begin- two closets in the entire house need massive reworking and organizing; an immense amount of junk to be thrown out, donated, shredded, or sold; lists of things to do in the house before we sell ( not going to happen for 2 years but I want to be prepared). I’m also hoping to make spots for things to land so that the clutter becomes controllable!

I have a full house already and 2 sets of elderly parents who are trying to bequeath all their life time collections to us as they move into small retirement communities. Much of it is sentimental, but I can’t absorb another 2 households. I am feeling a little stressed by this!

Simplify 101’s ideas look remarkably similar to Flylady’s, especially the Command Central Binder. I hope it’s just a coincidence, or that decluttering is just a really hot issue right now, but it seems like something is wrong to me.

That being said, I appreciate you doing the giveaway, I’m sure it’ll help someone else very much. Personally, I’ll stick with Flylady.

My fiance and I are currently house-hunting AND wedding planning at the same time, so organization is key to keeping sane. I would love to hone my organization skills since we are going to have to really edit down our stuff when we finally pack up from our parents houses and move into our own house.

Also, can’t wait to have some space to keep all of my wedding planning stuff! I plan to make one of our spare rooms my office/wedding planning room. I think I’ll go to Ikea and the Container Store and get lots of bins to store my idea boards, magazines and everything else!
