I’m committed to getting rid of at least 25% of my stuff this year. If I don’t love it, use it or bless my family with it – it’s going out the door. I’ve followed FlyLady’s advise for years and it really does work (and it’s free!). Now that the “clutter” is gone – it’s time to seriously examine what I’ve decided to keep in my home. The other goal is to get rid of 2 things when I bring 1 home.

Hmmmm, we’re moving this year—so I’m going to get into attics, closets, cabinets and drawers and get rid of things I don’t need—I’m pretty good at decluttering when I have the time, so this year, I’m MAKING the time! I am on a decluttering rampage in my house full of three kids two dogs and one husband. Every room will be gone thru and organized – one room per day. It’s so theraputic!
I like to change out decore from time to time, so I put accessories in color coded bins. Purple items in purple bins, blue items in blue bins, etc. So when I get in the mood to change things up a bit, I know right where to find the colors than meet my moods for that time.

I am staying at my parents house for the next two weeks until I can move into my new apartment. I feel horrible for my parents because they live in the worse mess imaginable. Before my new husband moved in this summer, I de-cluttered my bedroom closet, dresser, and cabinets under the bathroom sink. It was amazing how great it felt.
