Fab Freebie: A Simplified New Year

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down for special discount and to see who won!***

If the words “simplify,” “organize,” “declutter” or “make more time for [blank]” will be showing up on your resolution list this year, boy do we have the giveaway for you. Simplify 101 provides all sorts of fun interactive tips and online workshops to help you achieve those goals, and this week a trio of you will win TWO free workshops.

Simpify 101 Giveaway

Our three winners can choose from any of the following workshops being held early next year: “Quick + Simple Clutter Control,” “How To Achieve Your Goals And Create A Life You Love,” “Organizing 101” and “It’s About Time: How To Have More Fun and Get More Done.” Oh and all of you can get a taste of Simplify 101’s helpful advice by downloading their free “How To Create A Command Central Binder” guide. We’ve also got a special discount ready to announce on Thursday, so check back for that in a few days. But enough chatter, here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: Your choice of any two Simplify 101 workshops being held in January or February.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SIMPLIFY ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re looking to simplify, organize, declutter, or streamline your life in 2011. We’d love some great ideas for our own list of 2011 resolutions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 29th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three!
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we announce our trio of winner, know that Simplify 101 is offering 15% off enrollment through January 3rd, 2011 with code SAVE15YHL at checkout. (Note: the “It’s About Time” workshop is currently offered at 20% Early Bird savings, so this 15% off can’t be combined with it)

On to our winners. The lucky three entrants that random.org chose are… Sarah Thimmes (who’s looking to organize her homeschool supplies and make more time for poetry writing), Kelsey R (who wants to really use her planner all year)and Tiffany (who just gave birth to baby girl on Christmas Eve. Wow!). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Simplify 101.

We just moved cross country and didn’t have time to simplify before our last minute move. We have SO MUCH JUNK that we just paid to have moved. This would really help. And we need it!

I set up a spot on the computer desk for “action items” – bills to be paid, things to read, etc. I hate seeing clutter so having this designated spot will where all can see will motivate me to keep the computer desk clutter free. I found putting things in a basket only hid those tasked items. Instead, I put my books in that basket.

SIMPLIFY ME!!! Pretty please… we have suffered from the bad economy and my husband (a graphic designer) has been in and out of work for the last 1 1/2 years. We moved into our dream home at the beginning of the process, but haven’t been able to finish projects as quickly as I would have hoped due to low funds. Your website is a great help for the penny pinchers we have become. I would love to learn how to make a command center binder to organize our lives during this rough time. Regadless… thanks so much for your website! Your advise rocks! :D

SIMPLIFY ME! I am an emotional hoarder!! I HAVE the scrap booking materials to contain all the sentimental, romance-y, and college memorabilia acquired over the years, but I just don’t love the idea of displaying in a book. So, the goods fester in piles EVERYWHERE. I’d love to get some creative ways to display and keep these things and learn some real tips to eliminate my “everything-is-a-memento” attitude!

One of the main reasons I would like to be more organized is because I believe in teaching examples to my daughter. If I can be more organized, save money and be creative, I will hopefully instill in her to do the same things. I want to teach her to treasure the things that she has and teach her to respect the things that we have. She is young and we will have other children, but I believe it is never too early to teach children! Thank you for your website, it is WONDERFUL!!

Simplify me! I have been in my current apartment for over a year and still don’t feel “moved in”. I want everything to have a place and everything that doesn’t have a place/use to leave! My goal for 2011 is to de-clutter the apartment of everything that I don’t use and have a nice streamlined look for everything that remains. :-)

In 2011 I would love to have a clutter free, less mess, routine and systematic home. Shoes off at the door- on to a nice shelf or carried to the bedroom, mail dropped in the box by the door {it usually ends up on the counter}…laundry under control and out of the family room..so I have time to come home from work, get my dinner out of the crock pot I will learn to use and hang out with my family instead of stressing over everything that needs to be done!! No idea where to start!!

For 2011, I’m going to town on clothing. Living in a 4 season climate (from minus 20 C to 30 C), I have a lot of seasonal clothing. I’m adding storage shelving up to the ceiling in closets so I can have bins of clothing-by-season. Everything from sandals and tanks, to vests and hoodies, to down-filled parkas, to slick rain gear for spring. As opposed to one for outerwear, one for shoes, etc., which have to be pulled down every season.

SIMPLIFY ME! I am hoping to just switch two rooms in our house in order to simplify things. I know it doesn’t sound simple, but in the end it will allow there to be more closet (behind doors) space for the girls toys and “stuff” which will make it look simplified!! And it will give my husband and I a lighter, brighter room which will go with the whole new, less-is-more mentality I have right now. Wish me luck!
