Fab Freebie: A Simplified New Year

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down for special discount and to see who won!***

If the words “simplify,” “organize,” “declutter” or “make more time for [blank]” will be showing up on your resolution list this year, boy do we have the giveaway for you. Simplify 101 provides all sorts of fun interactive tips and online workshops to help you achieve those goals, and this week a trio of you will win TWO free workshops.

Simpify 101 Giveaway

Our three winners can choose from any of the following workshops being held early next year: “Quick + Simple Clutter Control,” “How To Achieve Your Goals And Create A Life You Love,” “Organizing 101” and “It’s About Time: How To Have More Fun and Get More Done.” Oh and all of you can get a taste of Simplify 101’s helpful advice by downloading their free “How To Create A Command Central Binder” guide. We’ve also got a special discount ready to announce on Thursday, so check back for that in a few days. But enough chatter, here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: Your choice of any two Simplify 101 workshops being held in January or February.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SIMPLIFY ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re looking to simplify, organize, declutter, or streamline your life in 2011. We’d love some great ideas for our own list of 2011 resolutions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 29th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three!
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we announce our trio of winner, know that Simplify 101 is offering 15% off enrollment through January 3rd, 2011 with code SAVE15YHL at checkout. (Note: the “It’s About Time” workshop is currently offered at 20% Early Bird savings, so this 15% off can’t be combined with it)

On to our winners. The lucky three entrants that random.org chose are… Sarah Thimmes (who’s looking to organize her homeschool supplies and make more time for poetry writing), Kelsey R (who wants to really use her planner all year)and Tiffany (who just gave birth to baby girl on Christmas Eve. Wow!). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Simplify 101.

my parents are moving in about 2 months and I have 2 decades worth of STUFF still piled up in my old bedroom at their house. I will be going through it all, I imagine purging most of it since I’ve lived for almost 7 years without it. I’m sure I’ll be recovering a box or two of things I just don’t want to part with, but man, some majot simplifying will be going on :)

“SIMPLIFY ME!” I’ve found that since having a baby while still working full-time, I have much less time (practically zero) to prepare any dinners, much less ones that use whole foods rather than overly processed. So I’m looking to take advantage of make-ahead meals and meals with leftovers that can be reborn as a second different meal!

I am going for the “get rid of 1 thing a day” process. Too much stuff in my house and I will either toss, give or repurpose a lot of it. Hopefully, by the end of the year, I will at least have 365 things less!

SIMPLIFY ME! My husband just accepted a job where he will be working from home. I just set up an office in our living room as a sort of “command central” for whatever falls under the category of running a household. We also have a desk in our family room for the kids to be chaperoned while they are on line and for doing homework. I could really use some organization tips to start setting up our guest room into a “legal, tax deductible work space.

We’ve been living with two roommates (a younger cousin and a younger college student) for over a year now. We never had time before each of them moved it to really go through all the stuff that was previously in their rooms (past guest bedroom and game room). We plan on simplifying by losing one roomate and going through A TON of STUFF over the next few months because we just find out we are expecting!

Simplify Me! I need help organizing my bookkeeping for our business. I work a full time job and sadly our business oganization falls to the wayside after work. Thank goodness the real work is what my husband does or we’d be in trouble! Plus on top of that we have torn apart our house for our new floors (stained cement – love) but putting it all back together and painting everything is not happening as fast as I would like. I need to get organized so I have time to do it all!!

*SIMPLIFY ME!!* This year coming up my husband and I will both be full time students (him with a full time job and volunteer coaching, and me with lots of volunteering and making art) living in a 1000 sq foot home with 2 big dogs and a bird. Two of our goals for this year are 1) to save more money and set up our finances for the next three years to save for future children, grad school, creating a nest egg, and saving for a new car (since we don’t buy anything on credit) and 2) Organize our 2 bedroom/1 bath/ into simple spaces for our work, my art-making,entertaining, and living. My husband is in the military and we will move a lot so we want to get rid of more stuff (we already give 1 bag of stuff away per week) and learn to live(and be happy) with fewer things. I would love to learn to simplify our hectic and crazy but wonderful life together :).

We moved into our first house on October 1st, and then welcomed our first children (yes, plural– twins!) on November 1st. So, needless to say, my office area which is supposed to be the central area for bill paying, computer usage, correspondance, etc, is in complete disarray. In 2011 my goal is to get everything set up and easy to use! Help!

We are a family of 6 (4 kids aged 5 and under) living in 1100 square feet. My goals lately have been to organize and purge excess and despite the countless van loads to Goodwill, I still feel rather claustrophobic from the clutter. I have 4 books from the library about how to simplify my life and space on my night stand, but I feel too overwhelmed to find the time to read them! I’d love for someone to just tell me!
