Fab Freebie: A Simplified New Year

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down for special discount and to see who won!***

If the words “simplify,” “organize,” “declutter” or “make more time for [blank]” will be showing up on your resolution list this year, boy do we have the giveaway for you. Simplify 101 provides all sorts of fun interactive tips and online workshops to help you achieve those goals, and this week a trio of you will win TWO free workshops.

Simpify 101 Giveaway

Our three winners can choose from any of the following workshops being held early next year: “Quick + Simple Clutter Control,” “How To Achieve Your Goals And Create A Life You Love,” “Organizing 101” and “It’s About Time: How To Have More Fun and Get More Done.” Oh and all of you can get a taste of Simplify 101’s helpful advice by downloading their free “How To Create A Command Central Binder” guide. We’ve also got a special discount ready to announce on Thursday, so check back for that in a few days. But enough chatter, here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: Your choice of any two Simplify 101 workshops being held in January or February.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SIMPLIFY ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re looking to simplify, organize, declutter, or streamline your life in 2011. We’d love some great ideas for our own list of 2011 resolutions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 29th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three!
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we announce our trio of winner, know that Simplify 101 is offering 15% off enrollment through January 3rd, 2011 with code SAVE15YHL at checkout. (Note: the “It’s About Time” workshop is currently offered at 20% Early Bird savings, so this 15% off can’t be combined with it)

On to our winners. The lucky three entrants that random.org chose are… Sarah Thimmes (who’s looking to organize her homeschool supplies and make more time for poetry writing), Kelsey R (who wants to really use her planner all year)and Tiffany (who just gave birth to baby girl on Christmas Eve. Wow!). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Simplify 101.

This year I am really trying to downsize. I am blessed to have more than I need and would love to pass on extras to those who can really use it. I read your blog everyday and have learned so much. This year I’m trying to buy/keep the things I absolutely love.

Simplify me! Seriously, two thirds of my wardrobe is on my bedroom floor as we speak and has been for the past 2 weeks. See, I had such great intentions to sort through it all and donate anything in good condition that I no longer wear. Of course, I got distracted and only completed about 0.05% of it. My boyfriend is getting very sick of it. He asked me the other day if I’m going to start using the pile as a second bedside table.

I intend to declutter and organize but never know where to start and get mired down in everything that needs done. I used to move every year and that helped but we’ve lived in the same house for 10 years now. I need to get under control!

I am creating a schedule of 1 hour a week clutter destroyer/everything has a place routine. With a hectic schedule and a tendancy of letting items move from were they should be to cluttering up where they shouldn’t be, I have resolved to spend at least 10 minutes a day (60-70 minutes a week) putting things back in the rightful places and not letting clutter accumulate!

Living in a small house means that I am always looking for ways to simplify and de-clutter, especially after the holidays! The best way I have found is the in-out rule. If something new comes in, something old needs to go. But I still have clutter and we are currently re-designing our bedroom to try and create more storage space.

I’m needing to create laid back, sleek wardrobe that isn’t cumbersome or taking up tons of space. Also, I need to corral my sons toys in a useful way.

2011 will be a big year of simplification. The only thing I keep up with on a regular basis are our files. I file away all important papers weekly after they build up.

    SIMPLIFY ME!

We are a military family always on the move. We have a fourteen month old and a “work in progress”. Organization is a must but when times are hectic, moving across the world while 8 months pregnant, without our household goods for three months, buying a house, buying cars, and changing jobs all at once, things get hairy and we can lose out big. I needs someone with some real skill to help me learn how to keep it all together, even in the most trying situations.

Currently, use it or lose it is my motto and it keeps me sane.

    Thanks,
    Jen
