I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

I LOVE colors, and one of the colorful items in my apartment that I love is probably the pair of chairs that I found on CL and refinished and recovered in a yellow/grey fabric. They were one of my first DIY projects so they have a special place in my heart.

We just bought a print on sale at ikea for $5. It’s a brown cow against a neon green background. It cracks me up because it is SO weird. We hung it in my 10 month old son’s bedroom for contrast, I think he likes it :)

It’s not art but we created little modern floating shelves out of a hollow-core door for our cats to jump on/laze around on. They love them and they look cool on our wall!

FAB ME! … I have a globe I got from Haiti that was hand carved and the countries were drawn on with a permanent marker. The countries names are all in french/creole and things tend to be a tad misplaced (ex: they ran out of space for Jamaica so it’s out in the Atlantic Ocean!) LVOE IT!
