Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Fab Dot Com Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Fab.

    FAB ME, PLEASE!

I have a super loud, borderline obnoxious, area rug in our living room. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it…and that’s all that counts, right!?!?

Fab me! My favorite quirky item is a 9-inch moose on our mantle that gets decorated for the season/holiday. It’s small, sweet and looks great next to our mantle’s peacock artwork and vase arrangement and clock.

    FAB ME!

The weirdest decor item I have is a brown ceramic squirrel that my boyfriend asked our apartment complex leasing agent to have when we were signing our lease. He thought it was so goofy and they gladly handed it off. I would love it, if only he would let me paint it glossy white!

FAB M! What’s unique in our house? Well, at the moment…just about everything lol. We’re getting married in the fall so we are in the process of buying a home, which makes our places right now quite crazy and unique all in their own sense! We’d love to win the gift card from FAB in order to decorate the house a bit!

my new taxidermied duckling from Paxton Gate! I also just returned from a trip to Portland! (so sad we were visiting Goonies filming locations the day of your book signing, which i learned about while checking instagram on the way to astoria Saturday. :( a highly recommended day trip though!) I ended up buying my favorite Portland souvenir from the local oddities shop known as Paxton Gate (or the Knot Store from Portlandia) and as weird as it seemed at first, it has quickly become my favorite thing in my home! and it means i quite literally got to put a bird on it

side note: we went to salt & straw per your past recommendation and my boyfriend is now the proud owner of a salt & straw tshirt since i was able to pull up a photo from your blog to show him how touristy it was NOT. :)

    FAB ME!

In my last two apartments, I have turned my necklaces into art. First, this was through hanging them on tacks on a bulletin board. In my current apartment, I have them hung on small nails in a pattern in my large blank bathroom wall. It is both functional (I can see all of my options for neck decoration when I get dressed) and pretty (I have lots of variety in my necklaces!).

    THANKS!

I have a framed print on my wall of a Bassett Hound wearing a tri cornered hat and frilly neck thing. I like it and it reminds me of williamsburg.
