Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Fab Dot Com Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Fab.

    Fab me!

My favorite quirky thing is a Marc Jones print that I have hanging right by my front door. It’s a picture of a rabbit next to a globe that says “unbeknownst to most, the world is completely controlled by a single pipe smoking rabbit.” It’s such an offbeat sort of humor that it makes me smile whenever I see it!

FAB ME!! I have a stained glass lamp shade straight from the 70s that I got at an antique shop. My boyfriend hates it, and we live in an apartment so I have nowhere to put it at this moment. But I’m thinking it’s going to make a great pendant someday!

We have a lot of quirky stuff, but one of my favorites is a Niagra Falls tambourine that we bought at a souvenir stand there, and now have hanging in our bathroom wall.

    FAB ME!

I have a (growing) collection of white ceramic owls that are perched above my kitchen cupboards. I also have 3 framed prints of sock monkeys in my living room that remind me of the graduation photos that my parents have of us kids in their house, but I have no children yet so I have sock monkeys :)

    Fab me!

We have dedicated a wall in our family room to framed pictures of all the places we have been together…I was getting sick of always having pictures of our family and friends (no offense!). It is so nice to see all the different colors and landscapes to reminisce our travels. Plus it’s a great conversation piece.

Loving that mirrored piece on FAB!

I have a giant print of a cat on canvas all gussied up in fancy gilt frame we’ve had forever since we were married almost 22 years ago. It was a splurge piece for our LR.

Something bold and colorful in our home that I love are the five pixel paintings on canvas that I recently finished for our dining/living room: http://molleemade.com/art/2012/11/pixel-paintings-finished/

They were inspired by a pin that I repinned from you, Sherry, so thanks for the inspiration, and thanks for the opportunity to win a Fab gift card!

I love my yellow/orange accent wall in my kitchen. Since you can see three different wall colors at the same time in my open floorplan, it seems like a little like color-overload, but I really like the happy accent wall (and the others) so am going to keep it anyway :)

“FAB ME!” Our quirky thing isn’t really a thing. It’s one of our cats. Everywhere you don’t expect a cat to be…there she is. Hanging from the ceiling fan (while it’s off of course) on top of the bathroom door, underneath the 3 inch high tv cabinet, in the book shelf. She is definitely our conversation starter!

FAB ME!!! I adore my craigslisted, hideous, veneer-covered buffet which I painted a fabulous shade of “grellow” (iPad wanted to correct that to “gruel low”, lol!) and added with glass knobs and pulls (on sale at Home Depot!)! I finished it off by adding a bunch of vintage decanters and my booze collection and my gorgeous new bar was complete!!!
