Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

    I love the felt tv cover I made (we’re careful about dust!) that has the old school stripes on it that go vertically. Hard to explain, but it looks like the way your tv used to look when the cable was out!

    FAB ME! My husband and I are obsessed with our “pandamander,” a soft toy we bought at IKEA several years ago. So he’s in the house, along with photos of him in funny places, including a fairly large canvas print of him at a local landmark.

    My item is Marshall. He’s the 4 foot white resin elk head in my entry way. He was a Marshall’s holiday display item in the 80’s that I scored on eBay. I love him!

    Fab me! I love the vintage yellow Japanese ceramic creamer we use to hold q-tips in our guest bathroom. It’s a little unexpected but it makes me happy every time I see it.

    FAB ME!!

    My bold/quirky piece in my home is 2 Banter Banners. The first is in my living room and states “Beauty in the Little Things” the second is in my room across from my bed that reads “Sweet Dreams.” It is the last thing I see before I go to sleep.

    FAB ME! I have a rediculous, as in creepy, amount of piggy banks. Pigs, elephants, horses, bedazzled, chrome, colored, plastic,etc and they ALL have change in them. Hi, My name is Brit and I have a problem.

    Fab me! It has got to be my gigantic Cycles Gladiator print in our Kitchen. It reminds me of a dream with a nude girl with flaming red hair flying through the sky with her bicycle. I love it and it has caused a lot of interesting reactions.

    Fab me! As to something quirky in our home … when we were doing a gut reno last summer we discovered the whole thing was made out of beadboard. We were able to salvage a lot of it for reuse in various rooms.

    FAB ME! We used to have an inflatable marlin that hung over the door from our living room to our dining room…unfortunately, he sprung a leak and had to be retired. :-(
