According to random.org, our two giveaway winners are… Amy I. (who’d enjoyed a weekend away and then a few days at home for her pretend spring break) and DebbieRN (who’d go to Sanibel Island).
Don’t you wish there was a no-adult-left-behind official grown-up spring break? Since many of the kids in our county are out of school this week, it made us think about how nice it would be if every adult scored the same week-long break from the office grind. Luckily this week’s prize from The Office Stylist promises to inject some fun (and function) to your desk job. They’ve got loads of tips and services for amping up your workspace, including an online shop that’s stuffed with colorful and stylish organizational items – from floral file folders to ceramic business card holders and everything in between. And they’re hooking two lucky winners up with $50 cards to spend however they’d like.
- PRIZE: A $50 gift certificate towards Sorting With Style by The Office Stylist
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIMME A BREAK!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … pretend that every grown up got a spring break. What would you do? Would you go somewhere exotic? Would you just relax at home? Or would you throw a huge party for all the other on-break adults?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 20th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States and Canada!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Gimme a break & gimme a beach!
Gimmie a Break! I just want to stay home and work on the garden.
Gimme a break! Yes! I would love a week to stay home and get things cleaned/organized, while taking some time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather with friends.
GIMME A BREAK!
I would go to Arizona and ride my bike and hike all day. I would leave my computer and cell phone off the whole time.
GIMME A BREAK!
I’d probably take a road trip around my home state — Michigan!! It’s been too long since I’ve been to the sand dunes on Lake Michigan or up into the U.P.
GIMME A BREAK!! I would totally do something out of the ordinary for us, which would be to travel somewhere we have never been. I may just throw a party too, cause I am that Caaa-raaaa-zy!
GIMME A BREAK!! I would love to take a beach vacation with my husband!! It is snowing in WI right now…
GIMME A BREAK! As much as I need one just so I can catch up with everything I have to do at home, if I could have a spring break again I’d have to go on a great vacation with my husband – someplace with a pool, please!
GIMME A BREAK! My boyfriend and I would definitely head to St. Maarten–a trip we’ve been trying to take for more than a year now but haven’t been able to because of our work schedules.
GIMME A BREAK!!
I would go away from the crowds and head to the mountains. Usually during spring break, ski resorts out west still have a lot of snow but not a lot of people. It’s a great way to take advantage of good skiing at low prices.
GIMME A BREAK! GIMME A BREAK! BREAK ME OFF A PIECE OF THAT KIT KAT BAR…OR SHOULD I SAY BREAK ME OFF SOME STYLIN OFFICE SUPPLIES
Gimme a break! I would head back to London, I love that city!
GIMME A BREAK! Road trip! to the Rocky Mountain states, I think, or Arizona/New Mexico.
GIMME A BREAK! I’d head off to Mexico. What’s more Spring Break than the beach!?!
GIMME A BREAK!
I’d head to Australia to visit friends!
GIMME A BREAK!!
i would spend my break in a studio at a pottery wheel with some great music. and take out.
GIMME A BREAK!
This is kind of cute cause the kids I volunteer with at cadets asked me what I was doing for spring break I replied as a grown up there is no spring break…but if I had a spring break I would travel somewhere and backpack I am thinking Machu Pichu or somewhere in Africa!!
GIMME A BREAK!!
I would go to Italy! Or anywhere with a beach.
GIMME A BREAK
I would fly out to Seattle, WA and unwind by walking the trails of the mountains surrounding the area.
Gimme a break
I would take the whole family to the beach for the week…and maybe bring a babysitter along too so me and the hubs could go on a date :)
GIMME A BREAK! I would most def go somewhere exotic! Nothing like a much needed vacation long overdue!
GIMME A BREAK!
I would just love a week at home (but wouldn’t say no to the Caribbean)!
GIMME A BREAK!
I do get a spring break, as a college student, but I used it mostly to catch up on sleep! Otherwise I’d probably just travel around, seeing as much of my family as I can (they’re all over the country!)
GIMME A BREAK! I’d go somewhere warm – it’s been snowing here for three days!
GIMME A BREAK! I’d go somewhere with lots of hiking!
GIMME A BREAK! As someone who spent the last few years taking a “real” adult spring break in Mexico, I’d just spend a week relaxing in DC. Sleep in late, wander around the city, cook big dinners to eat on the roof (when it’s not raining) and generally bum around!
GIMME A BREAK! Most years I’d be happy to take a vacation. But this year, I have been out of town every weekend, so I would definitely stay home, relax and catch up on all the Spring Cleaning I’ve been unable to stay on top of.
GIMME A BREAK!
I dont even know what i would do with an entire week off from work!!! I’d either travel OR lay on the back patio and read and drink iced tea…. mmm iced tea.
Gimme a break, please!
I wouldn’t have to go anywhere – I just want to sleep late, watch my trash TV judge shows all morning, have a coffee with caffeine late in the day knowing I wouldn’t have to get up early the next day!
A week would not be long enough…oh to hit that lottery and retire!
GIMME A BREAK! My hubby and I would definitely go somewhere near water. We grew up on the West Coast and now we live in Georiga…in an area very far from water. Needless to say we miss it like crazy and are dying to get to some water!
GIMME A BREAK!
I would go to visit my sister in California because I love her and do not get to see her often enough, but a whale watching trip would definitely be included in that.
GIMME A BREAK! i would sleep!
GIMME A BREAK!
I would use spring break to finish unpacking my house! (We moved 3 weeks ago.)
Gimme a Break!
I’d be headed to the beach with my husband, a book, and lots and lots of good food!
GIMME A BREAK!
I’d enjoy having several days off to spend with my husband and kids! We’d get projects done around the house, have some friends over and maybe spend a few days taking in the local sights. :)
GIMME A BREAK! I’d go someplace where I could be warm and lazy.
Gimme a Break!!
GIMME A BREAK! I would start the vacation off by having a cook out with friends, complete with a game of corn hole while the grill’s getting fired up. Then I’d go on a road trip with my fiance–wherever we could see good friends and family.
Gimme a break! I would go to the UK and start chasing my celeb crush–Rupert Grint!
GIMME A BREAK!!
Yum. Kit Kat Bars! haha. I would definitely go someplace soothing with my boyfriend. A Tropical island sounds pretty good!
GIMME A BREAK!
I would love, love, love a week at home! :)
GIMME A BREAK!
I would relax at home and try to use some of the time to work on the ever-increasing list of projects I’d like to do. A chance to sleep in and then organize the closet and paint the hallway would be a dream come true!
GIMME A BREAK!
I actually do get a spring break (I am a school nurse). Our most favorite spring break trip is out to Big Bend in TX. It is still cool that time of year, and it is SO DARK that you can see all the stars. We especially like the McDonald Observatory, where you can look through telescopes and see planets!
GIMME A BREAK!
I would love to either do a staycation and explore more of my ever growing and changing hometown, plus we live by the beach so we should learn to appreciate what we have :) Or return to Paris or maybe check out the Cinque Terre in Italy(Why not do both…Eurail pass!). Our little baby boy (8 months old) is a great travel buddy and we love opening him up to new experiences, even at his age!
GIMME A BREAK!
I’d definitely go on vacation somewhere. Back to San Francisco, because we love it, perhaps?
GIMME A BREAK. Spring break at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica resort in Cabo – where my husband and I spent our Honeymoon. Absolutely peaceful and relaxing.
GIMME A BREAK-I would go somewhere, anywhere, just to get away from the snow. Seriously, it’s still snowing here!
GIMME A BREAK! I’d take over some traditional spring break resort with all the other awesome on-break-adults, and push all those spring-breakin’-teenagers out of the way to enjoy some crazy fun of our own!
GIMME A BREAK!! I’d go anywhere!!
GIMME A BREAK… I’d go somewhere with aqua water and just listen to the waves.
