Fab Freebie: A Break From Boring

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries  – see who won below!***

According to random.org, our two giveaway winners are… Amy I. (who’d enjoyed a weekend away and then a few days at home for her pretend spring break) and DebbieRN (who’d go to Sanibel Island).

Don’t you wish there was a no-adult-left-behind official grown-up spring break? Since many of the kids in our county are out of school this week, it made us think about how nice it would be if every adult scored the same week-long break from the office grind. Luckily this week’s prize from The Office Stylist promises to inject some fun (and function) to your desk job. They’ve got loads of tips and services for amping up your workspace, including an online shop that’s stuffed with colorful and stylish organizational items  – from floral file folders to ceramic business card holders and everything in between. And they’re hooking two lucky winners up with $50 cards to spend however they’d like.

Sorting With Style Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift certificate towards Sorting With Style by The Office Stylist
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIMME A BREAK!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … pretend that every grown up got a spring break. What would you do? Would you go somewhere exotic? Would you just relax at home? Or would you throw a huge party for all the other on-break adults?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 20th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States and Canada!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Sorting With Style

GIMME A BREAK! I would defintely spend it on the beach, under a palm tree snoozing. The hubby and I are taking a “fall break” this year and going to Europe. I never thought we would get to go, but he has been secretly stashing fund. Gotta love him. :-) We definitely don’t get spring break since we’re accountants….

I always feel so torn about time off. The productive side of me knows that it is the best time to make appointments and visits to family, then the part of me loves to travel to sunny beaches, but the introvert alwasy pull for a secret getaway locked inside my house just to relax.

    Gimme a break!

I love the idea of a spring break. I’m a vacation and travel person in general though. I’d love to see the beaches in Greece. I’d love to go back to Hawaii and Bermuda. I want to see New Zealand. That said, one of the best vacations I ever had was the snowstorm of 2010 when DC was closed for a week and I got to be home, sleep in, and watch movies.

Gimmie a Break! To invite all my pals over for a mega college-style kegger, including keg stands and jello shooters. Alas, we’re all old and would all drink nice wine, talk at a civilized volume, and be in bed by 11:30.

    GIMME A BREAK!

If I had a spring break, I would use it to get all the tasks done that have been hanging over my head, like fixing my credit report or returning things. That way I could finally relax when I got back to work!

I am torn between saying I’d travel or just stay home and hide out and get stuff done so that the rest of my year felt less crazy.

Hope you guys had a good weekend and that the storm wasn’t too crazy saturday up in richmond.

I would use that one week off to work on the house. I’m in the middle of trying to do a frame collage similar to the one in your hallway and sewing a cover for a cushion in our bay window.

I would go somewhere warm (we got snow last night), quiet (3 kids 4 and younger makes for a noisy house), and relaxing (am a SAHM, foster mom and run a small business from home) with my husband (who travels for work). That’d be my ultimate dream spring break.
