Sadly we can no longer answer the hundreds of emails that we receive each week. Especially while juggling all the projects and writing all the posts that keep YHL up and running. If only there were more hours in the day! Happily, we’ve added these handy links to direct you to many of the answers you seek:

- If you have a specific decorating question and would like to hire us for decorating help, click here to learn more about how our design services work (note: we list new ones each Monday morning at 8am EST).
- If you’re having trouble snagging a mood board, refreshing the Design Advice page around 8am EST every Monday and clicking the “buy now” button once the “not taking on new clients” message comes down is the best way to grab one (they sell out within minutes). It may take many tries to score one, and we wish we could keep up with the demand but we do the best that we can!
- If you’d like to submit a general decorating question (ex: should a loveseat and a sofa match?) to be considered as a Burning Question or for our Email Answer series, please note that we can’t respond to each email but we do our best to select the most commonly asked questions to address on the blog.
- If you’re writing to submit before & after pictures to be considered for a Reader Redesign, please send no more than five photos (attached, not linked) with a brief description of the project (along with details like paint colors, etc)- check out this Reader Redesign for the perfect amount of info/pics. With over 50 submissions a week we can’t post them all, but we still enjoy every single entry!
- If you think your home is fun and fabulous enough for a possible House Crashing tour (see examples here) please send some photos along with your location. If we’re ever in the neighborhood we’ll try to arrange a meet-up (we usually only feature homes that we can personally photograph ourselves).
- If you’re wondering if we’ve tackled a specific project and have any tips, please visit our How-To page or search our site. And if we haven’t talked about it (ex: laying a patio, staining furniture, hanging crown molding) chances are that we haven’t personally taken it on… yet!
- If you’d like advice on how to grow your blog and wondered how ours got to where it is today, check out this post with details a plenty.
- If you’re wondering where we got something in our home, here’s a room by room source list and here’s a roundup of our favorite places to shop for everything from rugs to accessories.
- If you’re in love with an item in our house that’s no longer available, please check our Amazon store for some look-alikes (along with our favorite cookbooks, appliances, cleaning products, accessories, decor, TV series, magazines, cookware, eco-bags and make-up among other things).
