Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled
***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!
We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
- PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Jewel me!!
My husband and I don’t really celebrate valentines day. It used to be our dating anniversary (or still is, I guess, but we stopped celebrating that when we got married). We usually get each other a card but that’s about it. This year he actually has night school after work on Valentines day and I’m volunteering at a legal clinic after work… so we won’t even see each other until late. Romantic, no? lol
JEWEL ME!
I plan to spend it trying to get this 38 week fetus out of me :)
JEWEL ME!!
I will celebrate with my husband and 1 year old over dinner at home! Lots of choclate of course!! :)
JEWEL ME!
Cuddled up on the couch in pj’s with thai takeout and netflix is my favorite way to celebrate.
Jewel me!
Valentine’s day is not so popular here in France, and it is just for adults.
Nonetheless, I think I will try to bake something for dessert. I was thinking pears in puff pastry. We’ll see if I find the energy (I have to cook at night because my toddler won’t let me).
Jewel Me!!
We don’t usually make a huge deal of Valentine’s Day. I usually just bake the hubby his favorite cookies and put them on the ‘You Are Special Today’ plate. :) I’ll of course send goodies with my son to the babysitter’s as well!
JEWEL ME! I will be haveing a quiet dinner at home with my hubby and baby boy.
JEWEL ME!
Our Valentine’s Day is going to be really low key. First one with a baby! Last year, I made my husband a fancy dinner of steak, steamed vegetables, and cheesecake. This year we are planning on having leftovers, but will get to spend quality snuggle time with our little girl. I wouldn’t wait it any other way.
Jewel Me!
We are going to stay at home on Thursday. I am going to cook a meal for my husband and baby girl. I was due on Valentine’s Day last year and we had to wait an extra 11 days for our girl to come. This year is much better!
JEWEL ME!!
We’ve been working on Valentine’s for my daughter’s class this week, so we’ll probably go through her loot Thursday night!
Jewel Me!!
Cookie baking & pink pancakes with our little lady. This will be her last Valentine’s Day as an only child…
JEWEL ME!!!! I will get my lovely husband a card and some candy from me and the baby. And, I’ll be lucky if I get a card. Ha! Oh well, I know he loves me, so I don’t need a card on one day to tell me that.
Jewel me!!
Valentine’s Day here is celebrated with a massacre, baby! My hubby is an actor who performs as a gangster (we’re here in Chicago, natch) and every Valentine’s Day, the Theatre does a reenactment of the famous V-day massacre of Bugs Moran’s gang by All Capone’s gang. Romantic, no? So he has extra shows to perform all week, and our tradition is to plan a special meal at home around his show schedule. This year, I’m planning a picnic style fondue :-) For the kids, we’ll make Valentine’s cards to mail to family and have heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast!
Jewel Me!!
My kid is only two, so we will be making some valentines for her classmates, and we signed up to bring the apple juice for her Valentine’s Day party. Exciting!
Husband and I will cook something really good for dinner after she is in bed.
Jewel Me! We keep Valentine’s Day really low key around our house, so we’ll just make a nice dinner and have some down time relaxing together.
Jewel Me!! A dinner with my husband, daughter and granddaughter!
JEWEL ME!
My husband and I are going to our favorite restaurant for a cocktail and some good food. We’ve been married four months, so this will be our first Valentine’s day as man and wife. And… I got “crafty” with his present for this year! Let’s just say it involved a couple trips to Michael’s and a hot glue gun!
Jewel Me!!!
We’ve had a family Valentine’s box for years, where we fill it with sweet notes and treats for each other!
JEWEL ME!! Valentine’s Day with a long distance relationship can be pretty tough, but it’s just another reason to appreciate who you have! <3
“JEWEL ME!”
Valentine’s Day will be a really long work day followed by PJs and TV.
Jewel Me!
My sweetie and I do not celebrate on the actual day but I did make him his favorite cookies. We will celebrate our anniversary a few days after Valentines Day. We are going to the spot of our first date and the place where we first said “I Love You.”
JEWEL ME!
I’ll be celebrating Valentine’s on the weekend! Spending Saturday at a winery in the beautiful hill country :)
Jewel me!
Unfortunately, I will be spending Valentines Day at work :(
Jewel me!
We have never really celebrated V-Day. We don’t particularly buy into the idea of showing each other how much we love each other on one particular day. Instead, we try to do nice little things all year, out of the blue. That said, I am baking a vegan chocolate cake to bring to work. And if my man felt like buying me flowers on the 15th, that would be ok too.
Jewel me!
My husband is out of town at a conference, so I will be hanging out with the kiddos! We will have to celebrate next weekend with a movie date.
JEWEL ME!
We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day.
JEWEL ME!
I’ll be volunteering… presenting Economics of Success too a classroom of Grade 9 kids :S Maybe one will be sweet enough to give me a Valentine?
JEWEL Me…. please!
I will be at the gym, and then hitting up karaoke with some friends. Fun and low key.
Jewel me!
Valentine cupcakes are on the menu!
JEWEL ME! The hubby is serving overseas right now, so we’ll wait to celebrate till he is stateside once again!
JEWEL ME!!
Sending the 5th grader with Valentine’s for classmates and a quiet dinner with hubby and both kids in the evening.
“JEWEL ME!” and Valentine’s Day comes the day after my daughter’s 10th birthday this year so we might be partied out but that still won’t stop the Valentine’s Fairy from leaving a little gift on the table at their breakfast spots, some Valentine’s for classmates, and perhaps a heart shaped sandwich or too!
JEWEL ME!
I try to do some sort of breakfast in bed and then we go out to dinner. Nothing crazy, but just some time to spend together and be happy :)
Jewel Me! I’m running in a fun singles 5k :)
JEWEL ME!
Hubby and I are going out for sushi then dessert at a yogurt bar
JEWEL ME!
I’ll be spending Vday in class :(
jewel me!
we’ll have heart-shaped food all day long for the kids and my husband and i will make dinner together and play Scrabble.
Jewel me! There will be various items covered in chocolate. Only time will tell what’s under there!
Jewel Me!
Feb. 14 is our “Dating anniversary”
Unfortunately, the hubs is on call, so my toddler and I will be visiting the hospital, BBQ in hand.
JEWEL ME!
Valentine’s Day will involve a heart-shaped pizza, red wine and a chick flick (my choice) with some snuggling on the couch with our fur child, Finnegan.
JEWEL ME!
Our babysitter canceled (booooo), so for Valentine’s Day, the hubs and I will be enjoying takeout by candlelight after our little guy goes to bed. Ah, romance.
JEWEL ME!!!
This V-day will be spent at home with the hubby. We have a 2 year old and no family to watch her…I’d rather spend the night at home then pay a sitter to go spend money at a restuarant
Jewel Me! I’ll be working during the day hours on valentine’s day, and then hopefully we’ll have a tasty meal at home.
jewel me!
one of my good friends is having her one woman show on valentine’s day so i’ll be there to support her!
Jewel Me! We are headed out to dinner at a nice restaurant we’d been wanting to try!
Jewel Me!
Going to dinner at a new sushi place!
Jewel Me!
We will be treating ourselves to a steak dinner and a bottle – or two! – of good wine.
Jewel me!
Traditionally, we make cheese and chocolate fondue, but this year SOMEONE is traveling for work. Not me.
Jewel me!!
I plan to celebrate on the weekend, rather than the actual day.
JEWEL ME!
Dinner at home, cooked by my boyfriend and probably a movie on Netflix. We used to go out to restaurants, but really it’s the worst day of the year to go out for dinner.
