Fab Freebie: Crib Your Enthusiasm
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***
In honor of our new nephew’s arrival this week (he’s scheduled to come via C-section on Wednesday!) we’ve got the mother of all baby-themed giveaways courtesy of LaJobi Industries. They’re the makers of stylish baby and youth furniture and this week they’re giving away an eco-friendly crib and crib mattress to one lucky parent (or parent-to-be).
The Dakota crib by Graco is their first environmentally friendly crib – it’s made from sustainable woods, the dark walnut finish is water based and all the packaging comes from recycled materials. Plus, it looks pretty darn good. You can read all the nitty-gritty details about it on Walmart.com, since they’re the exclusive retailer of the Dakota line (which also includes a changing table).
But an eco-friendly crib wouldn’t be complete without an eco-friendly mattress to pair it with. So LaJobi is throwing in a Serta Nightstar Eco Firm mattress, which is made from organic cotton layers. Together that’s a $330 package that should help both you and your baby sleep better!
- PRIZE: LaJobi’s Eco-Friendly Dakota Classic Crib by Graco and Serta Nighstar Eco Firm Crib & Toddler Mattress
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CRIB ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what your favorite bedtime story is. Is it a classic like “Goodnight Moon”- or something more progressive like “Captain Underpants?”

Crib Me!!!
Our favorite bedtime book to read to our son is “I Love you, Goodnight”. It’s a book about all the cute and creative ways to say I love you. So now my husband and I tease each other…instead of just saying “I love you” we say something like “I love you like I love blueberry pancakes”! Ha…it’s a pretty cute book. :)
CRIB ME!!!
I am expecting our first baby! And I am a librarian!
That combined means lots of great bedtime stories for our little one!
A favorite bedtime storybook: “If You Give a Mouse A Cookie” by Laura Numeroff
This author also has other favorites like “If You Give a Pig a Pancake” and “If You Give a Moose a Muffin”.
CRIB ME!
My son loves “David Gets in Trouble” and “Bump in the Night” (good for little ones who are afraid of monsters in their closets!)
CRIB ME! We’re having twins within this next month and this new crib would be fantastic!
Around here, we like “Little Pea,” the story of a little pea who has to eat all his candy before he’s allowed to have his spinach.
Crib Me!
Right now I am enjoying Goodnight Gorilla, as it is my nephew’s favorite – but he isnt picky what time of day he likes to have it read to him :)
CRIB ME! My favorite night time read was the Poky Little Puppy and the other little golden books…but the puppy was always the best :)
CRIB ME, please.
As a kid, I loved the Barbapapas. It seemed very practical to build a house using their pear-shaped bulbous bodies.
And a big CONGRATS to you and your growing fam!
Crib me… Our favorite story is a “the little duckling”
The crib that was donated to us broke the other day and we are scared to use it. Luv a new one.
CRIB ME! My favorite bedtime story is any fairytale ending with the words “and they lived happily ever after!
crib me, please!
you can’t beat the classics- good night moon! hbo filmed it beautifully in their special, goodnight moon and other sleepytime tales- still love it to this day!
CRIB ME! Favorite bedtime story is hongry catipillar! My son can baby sign-language almost every page.
Crib me! I honestly can’t remember my favorite bedtime story when I was little, but now I read every night and it’s whatever book I’m into at the time!
CRIB ME!!
My favorite bedtime stories are not written out in books. My grandfather used to make up the most fascinating stories and tell them to us when we were growing up. We’d asked him a million times to write them down, but he never did. They were great and a fond memory of my childhood!
Crib Me… I know I could never get enough of Where the Wild Things Are as a kid…Can’t wait to see it on screen.
CRIB ME! Zip ties are strong, but should I trust them to hold together the crib? The best bed-time story ever, the one we read a minimum of twice a day, is “The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear.” I have it memorized, and the kiddos have their little actions that come out every time we read it. Something about never actually seeing the bear has them (and me) hooked. Plus, his little strawberry hull hat on the last page is priceless.
CRIB ME! We have a little one scheduled to arrive in January and this would be wonderful! I loved the Bearenstine Bears :)
Crib me! Well, crib my new niece, Caroline Rose, just 7 days old! She loves (her dad loves) the Monster at the End of This Book starring Grover.
