Fab Freebie: Hi, My Name Is…

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

We’re back with another fantastic prize that THREE lucky winners will be able to put their names on. This one comes from Customized Stationary, a fun little Etsy shop that features playfully designed cards and prints that you can customize with everything from your first name to your family name. And they’ve kindly put together three sweet sets for our winners to choose from (each which includes a print and set of coordinating notecards) that we were so enamored with we couldn’t help but snag a set for ourselves.

We had trouble picking, but ended up going with the Carved Tree set, which we got to customize not only with our name and our initials carved into the tree, but also with our choice of colors. That way we ended up with a perfect-for-us set of stationary that was almost too good lookin’ to unwrap.

Want a chance to customize your own set? Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: 8×10″ print and coordinating twelve pack of 4 x 5.25 notecards in your selected design (Bird Family, Carved Tree or Stump). It’s a $27 value, but stay tuned for a YHL special discount at the end of the contest on Thursday.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CUSTOMIZE ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: Tell us about one of the last handwritten letters your sent (or received). Seems to be a dying custom in the digital age, so what was memorable about a recent time you used snail mail to send something special?
  • CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, September 2nd at 8pm EST
  • THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I still send postcards to my best friend from every vacation we take and she does the same. We’ve sent each other postcards since we became best friends 20 years ago (and we’re only 26 now!). It’s about the only snail mail I do anymore, besides birthday cards for my out-of-state family. I love hearing about what she did on her vacay and love sharing details of mine as well! :)

CUSTOMIZE ME!! My last hand written letters were Thank You notes for wedding gifts. My wonderful hubs always writes me a letter for anniversaries, birthdays, holiday, etc so I’m a very lucky lady!

Last week I sent a card with a few pictures to my grandmother, she lives in Seattle and I live in Boston… at 88 she’s never used a computer and probably never will! :)

My friend went to one of the smallest of the Marshall Islands (and by small I mean a half mile by a half mile) for a full year and the only way to keep in touch was through writing letters. It was so much more personal than our usual one line texts/ e-mails that even though she was so far away, we became even closer.

I get cards and hand written letters periodically from my pen pal, yes I still have one! We have been writing since the First grade:)That would be 18 years and counting!!

Customize Me! The last handwritten note I sent was a thank you to a former coworker for a gift she sent me. I love writing/receiving notes – I think it’s a shame that more people don’t sent notes and letters.

CUSTOMIZE ME! I sent a letter to my aunt, who gave me a crystal to hang on my rear-view mirror when I turned 16 and got my first car…12 years (and 5 cars!) later, I still have it. When I got my latest and greatest car, I sent her a letter thanking her for it, letting her know that I still had it, loved it, and thought about her everytime I see it my car!!!
