Fab Freebie: The Target Lady

I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

We don’t really need to waste time reminding you guys how much we love Target (we’ve got about a million posts like this and this to prove it). I even created this graphic to try to convey how excited we are:

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

    I’M A TARGET LADY!!!!

    My friends and family know that if I am not home on the weekends, we are either at Target or Costco. No exceptions! lol The best thing I bought there so far were these organizational cubes and fabric cube buckets. We have them in the kid’s playroom and they are awesome at hiding toys!

    I’M A TARGET LADY!

    I routinely hit the inside end caps of my usual Target store to score things at 75+% off. Most recently, I got a 2 x 3 hot pink mirror for my daughter’s room for about $3 and a shiny silver table lamp for $6! We had kept our eye out for them for probably a year.

    I’m really a Target MOM because I get lots of stuff there for my kids – love their shoes and clothes because they’re cute and I don’t feel bad when the kids grow out of it quickly because I didn’t pay too much for it.

    I’M A TARGET LADY!

    I can’t get enough! I’m there all the time and even if I run in for only one item on my shopping list, I always leave with a basket full of things! My favorite to date has been a pair of shelves that I am constantly repainting and rearranging to make the look different. I scored them for only 40 buckaroos and don’t know what I would do without the fresh, funky duo on my walls!

    …who happens to love their dollar section. I’ve scored tons of great seasonal decor as well as $1 frames that were perfect for creating my gallery wall in my living room.

    I’M A TARGET LADY (BTW, every time I go to Target with my two-year-old, he says, “Target . . . I love you!” as we approach the door. Cutest ever!) My favorite target score was some adorable Halloween picture frames that said, “Boo”! I gave them as Halloween favors to my friends, and they loved them!

    I’m a Target Lady! I like the “signaturrr terrrget cirrrrcles”. I live within walking distance to a Target and I am there ALL the time! The best things I ever scored at a Terrrrrget were some super on-sale plastic bins I know use to hold the backpacks of my 3rd graders (our classroom was recently moved to a mobile unit, so I had to get VERY creative with storage!).

    One of my favorite things I got at target was my $50 vacuum cleaner on sale. I also love the small table and foldable chairs that I transformed for book nooks for my third graders. They love sitting there to read!

    A few years ago I scored an awesome black, 3/4 sleeved jacket. Everytime I wear it, I get compliments on it. And…it was on the clearance rack for $7! Best find ever.

    I’m a Target Lady!

    My favorite Target item is the Dwell Studio zebra rug I bought on clearance for my son’s room. It looks just like the Johnathan Adler ones, and it’s so comfy underfoot.

    How can you pick one favorite Target item? Coats, clothes, shoes, kitchen appliances, dvds, target exclusive cds… 1/2 of my house is Target, and I’m not ashamed ;)

    I’M A TARGET LADY!

    When I first moved out on my own, in 1998, I got a fabulous bowl that I bought mostly for the pretty colors on it (and also because I needed a bowl). I use it all the time–from mixing cookie dough, to stirring a mammoth batch of mashed potatoes, to holding potluck goodies. It always gets a compliment, and the colors inspired me to start a Fiestaware collection that continues to this day.
