I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. I’M A TARGET LADY. After our wedding, my husband and I bought a china cabinet at Target. It was on clearance, but it was beautiful – espresso stained, solid wood construction with glass doors. It is a not only functional, but a stylish addition to our urban condo.

My favorite Target item was actually scored by my guys. My husband and two young sons bought me a pair of “diamond” stud Tar-jhay earrings for Mother’s Day several years ago. I have found some great furniture at Target – that resembles Pottery Barn…and people don’t even know the difference. I know the money saved though. That’s a tough one. Has to be my round beaded placemats that I often use as centerpieces to sit candles and flowers on. They have been everywhere from the kitchen table to the bathroom counter ;)

My favorite is a oval bronze tin to hold our firewood in. I fell in love with one in a pottery barn catalog but couldn’t swallow the price. I found a similar style one at Target for half the price. It looks great in our family room and is functional.
