I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

I’m a Target Lady! I have a few things from Target that I love…organic cotton sheets are a definite favorite. When my daughter was born we were given a baby rocker/seat, which she slept in for the first 2 weeks. It was a lifesaver!

A couple years ago, we moved to a condo in Chicago (no longer live there) and I did our Master bedroom for the “look for less” (after I bought my kind of expensive Pottery Barn bedding) but EVERYTHING else in the room was from Target and it all looked like PB items: 2 Candlesticks, Candles, Frames, Lamp & Lamp Shade, Baskets – basically ALL the accessories!

I am a TARGET LADY because I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the Christmas Baking Labels I found last year after Christmas on Clearance. In fact, I plan on using the ones I got to adorn a few pans of my cinnamon rolls I make every year for friends. (Unfortunately they did not have enough for everyone but take what you find right!)

And I don’t think I can pick just one because I may have an addiction to Target — it might be the great lamp (or many lamps) I have throughout my house or the bathroom rug or the baskets for my linen closet that contain all my crap and make it look tidy or the jars that hold my sugar or flour or I could go on and on.

It’s HEAVY solid wood, not particle board, it has a gorgeous, shapely turned pedestal and it’s the perfect size for beside the sofa! I LOVE IT. my favorite purchase from the oh so lovely targ was without a doubt my pillow with the big yellow flowers on it (as featured on YHL). for a long time i didn’t have anywhere to put it so talked myself out of buying it and once i decided to, it was always out of stock and no longer featured online. i finally got this wonderful pillow a few weeks ago!
