I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

I really do love everything I get from Target. I can’t just run in to get one item. I MUST browse the whole store. You just never know what you are going to find that week.

Oh, there’s so much. My favorite is for sure a wooden jewelry box with an antique-looking lock and key. I have a mild (eh… huge) obsession with boxes (and I don’t really even have any jewelry). This one’s my favorite.

My wife is a Target lady! After I commented on the amount of disposable water bottles we use, she bought some reusable bottles at Target and now we have a system so we always have bottles in the fridge ready to grab.

I’m crazy about these clear glass lamps with screw-off tops (so you can put stuff inside) that I bought at Target about 4 months ago- they were in a home decor section that changes out seasonally and is rarely replenished. I saw them the first time & passed on them, couldn’t stop thinking about them so went back the next day & they were gone. I went to about 9 different Targets in the area trying to track them (and the shades!) down, and finally scored a pair!

I have a Target just down the street from my house (less than a mile) and being a stay at home mom, used to walk there with my son (used to because we live in WI and now it’s too cold to walk anywhere, including to the mailbox!!)…who I just realized shares the same birthday as Clara!! May 14th, 2010. His name is Dallas:) How cool is that? I’ve been following your blog for a few months and can’t believe I didn’t see that sooner! His first trip out of the house was to Target, lol. Ok what was I supposed to do?…that’s right back to the task at hand, I love the dollar spot (stop there first ALWAYS). My favorite finds (not in the dollar spot) were storage bins that have a dry erase label on the outside so you can easily change what you have stored in the bins. I bought green ones and use them for the clothes Dallas has grown out of or doesn’t fit into yet so I’m contantly re-labeling them. The only bad part…they stopped carrying them since they were a special for the summer during back to school shopping:( oh well at least I got some while they were in stock, maybe next summer I’ll get more. Sorry for the long comment it’s nap time here so I actually had time to blab! Thanks for the great reading material!!

My favorite Target find was the faux leather storage ottoman. Unfortunately, our cat destroyed the ottoman (hey, better than our real leather couches). I (badly) recovered it with some fabric, and it’s now being used as a baby gate to block Lizzy from booking it down the hallway. LOL.

I would have to say the item that I got the most bang for my buck on was a pair of sandals I bought a few years back. I wore them every summer season. They were comfortable, matched everything and always got me compliments and I think I paid a $16 buckaroos for those lovely things.
