I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. I am abso-freaking-LUTELY a Target Lady!
The best thing I bought at Target (or, Tar-jjjjay) was a $10 metal “statue” of Big Ben. I lived in London for a year and when I – sadly – moved back to the States I did a big Target shop. I was super homesick for the UK but there on the sale shelf was this cute mini Big Ben. Which I of course snatched up. 3 years later and it’s still featured front and center in my bedroom :)

I AM A TARGET LADY! My favorite item (although I have many) is a dress that I bought before my third year of medical school that I thought would be perfect for the wards. It was perfect; I now own the dress in 6 colors and am still wearing them 3 years later. I even have several friends who also bought them because it was such a perfect dress (really for life in general).

Top faves include the awesome blue winter coat I got on the clearance rack for 12 dollars, the amazing black pillows on our couch, and the sweet gray & white floral rug I have under our dining room table. Oh and the gorgeous matted picture frames that have a great oiled bronze look about them. Swoon!

I’M A TARGET LADY! my hubby and i frequently go there for some free entertainment in our evenings… even though by the end of the trip it’s not usually free! about a 6 months ago, i found an adorable glass cake plate on a clearance rack with no price on it. upon price-checking (gotta love the red scanners at the end of the aisles), i found out it was only $1.99! hollah!

I AM A TARGET LADY!!! Are you kidding?!?! I was born and raised in Minnesota where Target is based so how could I not be? It’s the best store around. And while I’ve purchased MANY a wonderful thing at Target in my time, I think the best has to be a pair of Mossimo boot cut jeans. They have just enough stretch that I’ve been able to wear them well into both my pregnancies, as well as soon after my kids were born. Gotta love something that makes a post-pregnant mama feel skinny!

My favorite item I puchased from target are my C9 duo dry fitted running pants. I commute by bike to work year round in Portland, Oregon. These things keep me warm and dry on those cold and drizzly mornings. I’ve had them for over a year and these things durable, a super buy!

My favorite thing to do is shop down the “avenues instead of streets” i call it, meaning down the backs of the aisles in order to find each and every clearance item possible.
