Fab Freebie: The Target Lady

I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

We don’t really need to waste time reminding you guys how much we love Target (we’ve got about a million posts like this and this to prove it). I even created this graphic to try to convey how excited we are:

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

    I’M A TARGET LADY! My most recent favorite purchase is a strapless jazzed-up denim dress with a sweetheart neckline! They have really been upping the ante in the cute dress department these days. That $100 gift card would buy me several fun & functiional new items!! :-)

    I’M A TARGET LADY!

    My fav recent purchase is the slipper chair – you had it posted here as a “what we’re liking” item for a long time – it is stripped with a blue, yellow and brown color scheme. It was on sale and we got the floor model – it looks great in our living room!

    I’m a Target Lady! My favorite thing that I have gotten from target is a pair of beautiful chandelier pearl earrings. Faux of course. I had dinner with a fancy-shmancy friend and she said she loved them and asked where I got the earrings. I told her T-boutique (the nickname my friends and I gave Target) and she seemed interested and asked where it was located. I told her I meant Target and she seemed surprised something that she thought looked fancy came from Target!!

    I’m a sucker for coats, and I think every year I find a new favorite on clearance and never end up paying more than about $30. This year, I already got a great fall orange peacoat for $20!!

    I’M A TARGET LADY! My favorite item was a black and white and grey watercolor floral print kimono style dress (yes that was a lot of adjectives). The fit was very flattering and I got compliments every single time I wore it. Two other people in my sorority ended up buying it as well because it was so awesome.

    Alas, it died from wearing it so many times – the fabric was literally fraying at the seams and no amount of mending could save it. I’m sort of ashamed to say I still have it after 6 months. I want to try to find someone who can remake it with new fabric, but the same cut/fit.

    My favorite Target find was a beautiful set of square melamine plates in a sage green with a brown branch pattern on them. I absolutely LOVE them! They were on sale for $1.50 each!
