Fab Freebie: The Target Lady

I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

We don’t really need to waste time reminding you guys how much we love Target (we’ve got about a million posts like this and this to prove it). I even created this graphic to try to convey how excited we are:

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

    We actually got our wedding invites from Target and did them ourselves. We got more compliments on those than our expensive Etsy Save the Date Cards!!!

    I can’t name one specific thing that I absolutely love from Target. Maybe it’s because of the fact that once I go in there, I can’t get out without spending at least $70 bucks on goodies. I also love the fact that no matter where I go in the US, a Target is not far away :)

    I’m a Target lady! My favorite Target find is a pillow we use on our bed in the winter – it’s a corduroy moose in front of some mountains, made by Woolrich. It sounds incredibly tacky, but I swear it isn’t!

    I’M A TARGET LADY!

    We love our Target storage ottomans (I think I noticed you have the same ones?). We put all our board games etc in one and all our work out equipment in the other (weights, yoga mat, kettlebell, etc) and have them right there in our living room as movable “coffee tables/footrests”, ready to be used at a moment’s notice! Wish I opened up the work-out equipment ottoman a little more often…

    Oh – and I must admit – I do love their dollar bin cotton candy… yumm!!! :)

    I’M A TARGET LADY! Several years ago I bought three mercury glass candle holders at Target on clearance. I was instantly smitten with them. Now that mercury glass is hot, I’m so glad I have them.

    FAVORITE TARGET DEALS LATELY? My set of “Live” “Love” & “Laugh” mini vases I got in the dollar bins for $2.50. We just went neutral with our paint & furniture in the kitchen & living room and I have kept my eye out for a few teal/turquoise accents to add to my current accessory color scheme. They look so cute sitting on the sill above my kitchen sink with fall-colored clippings from my crepe myrtles.

    Also, the large wood tray I needed for my ottoman in the living room (I have lots of trays, but none of them were big enough). Happened upon the last one on a bottom shelf for 70% off!!

    The Target purchase closest to my heart is the various Christmas decorations my husband and I bought (for cheap, of course!) for our first Christmas together!

    I’M A TARGET LADY!!! through and through.

    I love how I go in for one thing I need and somehow end up walking out with about 10 other items I “needed!!”

    Best buy there….probably a pair of tan, flat, tall boots that I got after season a few years back for $4 and some change! I live in those puppies in the fall/winter!! Just wish I would have grabbed an extra pair (or two) because their starting to look rather worn!!

    I’m a Target Lady!

    So many of the things in my home were purchased from Target so it is impossible to have a favorite – our TV console, the TV! (lol), the mirror in our bedroom, our kitchen table and chairs, our bedding, pillows, I can go on and on! Now that we are expecting I can’t wait to shop for the little one’s nursery!! I already know how I’d spend the $100!

    I love looking over the clearance items. I can spot a red tag a mile away! The other day I scored a t-shirt for my growing-oh-too-fast 9-year-old son for $.84. That’s just too great!

    I’m a TarGeT LaDY!!!!!! Love, love, love the place. My husband, however, hates,hates,hates the place. (I have to take the blame for that) My favorite thing I’ve bought there for my home is a shower curtain for my girls bathroom that I jazzed up a little on my own.

    I can barely think of just one thing. My lamps, shower curtain… but most recently a clearance round mirror for $5 which I am going to turn into a sunburst mirror.

    What is not to love about target? I have a plethora of treasures from that place, from my neon green desk chair, to the pillows that adorn my bed! They always have great holiday decor too!!

    “I’M A TARGET LADY”

    My favorite thing there miniature lion french onion soup bowls. I got them on clearance for $0.85!!! Use them for melted butter, soup sips and little placecards filled with flowers and herbs. LOVE THEM!

    I’m a Target lady. Best buy: A bed-in-a-bag set on clearance, which happened to contain one extra pillowcase. With the extra pillow case and the dust ruffle — the bed didn’t require the latter — I was able to make a one-of-a-kind window treatment for the one window in the room. Thus, Target provided a serendipitous bonus with an otherwise already better-than-reasonable purchase!

    I’M A TOTAL TARGET LADY! It’s so hard to say just one thing I’ve been thrilled about scoring at Target…I spend way too much time there. But as for spending the $100, there are some sweet throw pillows I have my eye on (among other things). I am a Target lover!
