Fab Freebie: The Target Lady

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

We don’t really need to waste time reminding you guys how much we love Target (we’ve got about a million posts like this and this to prove it). I even created this graphic to try to convey how excited we are:

Target 100 Hundred

Can you handle that enthusiasm?

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

Target Sabrina Soto

But enough chitchat. Here’s how you can score the hundy dolla gift card:

  • PRIZE: A hundred beans (in gift cards form) to spend at Target!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M A TARGET LADY” (or “I’M A TARGET GENTLEMAN” if you’re rocking a Y chromosome like me) and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your favorite item that you’ve ever scored at Target. Do you love it because it’s especially stylish? Especially functional? Or maybe just especially affordable?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 17th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our very lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Ashley A. (who’s loves and can’t stop seem to buying Target clothes). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Target.

How to narrow it down… one of my favorite purchases was a pair of flat silver sandals that were just perfect in every way. I actually went back and bought a second pair because I knew I’d wear the first pair out. Super comfortable, so stylish (tons of people have commented on them) and they go with anything. For $11!

My best score at target is always the reduced summer wear that I buy for my kids. It pays to shop one year earlier for sizes when they’re still young.

One of my favorite Target finds were these great yellow canvas stacked heels- too cute! Though they don’t fit me anymore (thanks pregnancy!) I don’t have to feel bad about it because they weren’t expensive.

(Oh my gosh, that is the FUNNIEST SKIT EVER!)

My favorite Target find was a $13 (on clearance) glass and black metal (iron look) end table. It was affordable, chic, and totally perfect for my space– because it holds my reading lamp, without taking up any visual space!!

I’m a Target Lady! My favourite buy was a iron moose statue. Sounds strange I know, but for this transplanted Canuck (Canadian) and Northern Exposure lover, the moose was a steal. I got in on clearance after Christmas, but leave it up year round. It just works. And at six bucks… why not???

I’M A TARGET LADY! My favorite thing from Target is the 8 white frames with matting that I purchased to make an awesome grid-like art display on a huge blank wall in my dining room. My “art” is pages from a calendar of colorful vintage-looking drawings. It’s a focal point and always gets complements when guests walk into my house. I paid about $140 total for it ($130 for the frames and $20 for the calendar) but it looks so much more expensive!

I’M A TARGET LADY! I recently found the deal of the century at Target. There were racks of Hormel baby back ribs that had 2, $3 off stickers on each rack. I thought it was a mistake, but at the register I confirmed that YES, each rack was $6. off. I ended up getting 6 racks of ribs for $21! Dinner party for 10 barely cost me anything!
