I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. I scored a slew of thermos in the clearance section that were usually 14 buckaroos. I felt ridiculous spending that much to buy one for each of my three daughters. So when I recently found 6 Shrek thermoses on the clearance shelf it was a total SCORE for just over 3 dolla a pop!

I seriously haunt Target sometimes. Which is especially sad since we now live about 25-30 minutes away from the nearest one! One of my favorite recent purchases are navy blue Eclipse blackout curtains. Our neighbors seem to have leave all of their lights on 24/7 and they have made a HUGE difference! On another note, since the room is now dark, our cat no longer sleeps under the armchair during the day anymore but right on our bed. He’s a cutie pie. =)

My best target score, completely unrelated to home decorating or design of any kind, was the DVD of Clue: the movie. Great movie with an all star cast, I believe I snatched it for $1.99 a year or so back. Still laugh when I watch it!
