Fab Freebie: The Target Lady

I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

We don’t really need to waste time reminding you guys how much we love Target (we’ve got about a million posts like this and this to prove it). I even created this graphic to try to convey how excited we are:

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

    Living in the city I don’t get out to Target much, but when I last traveled home I got a great pair of cheap sunglasses that I adore!

    I’m a Target lady!! I got some amazing frames from there to help decorate my new apartment in NYC.. I could certainly use the $100 to continue the slow process of decorating this tiny space! I think I’ll even use some of Sabrina’s tips! Love it.. Thanks for the chance!

    I’M A TARGET LADY!
    I got a pair of gorgeous jute woven chairs for $99 each at Target. They have lasted 6 years and look as good as new. The closest thing I have ever seen to them were $500 each!

    My best purchase was a jade semi-formal dress. I got it on clearance for only $4!! It is the perfect dress and I love it!

    Oooh, I’m totally a target lady. My favorite item from Target is a pair of pink flats with a bow on the top- on sale for FIVE dollars! Ever time I wear them, I get compliments. Heck YES.

    …Hmmm…I think my favorite thing ever is my super afforable, super stylish duvet, sheets and matching throw pillows! I’ve had them all since college (still sooo comfy!) and I’m still using them b/c I love them so much!

    I’m a Target Lady! I REALLY wanted a wicker toy chest but I couldn’t afford the steep prices I was seeing and then one day I was at target and there it was :) Originally 89.00 bones marked down on clearance to 17.00!!! Oh yeah I did a happy dance right there. We love target and we especially love their clearance.

    My best target buys have been home decor-type things. I have 3 clocks I’ve bought from Target that look super pricey/stylish and only cost me about $20. Love it!

    Ooh, my favorite Target purchase has to be my couch. While I ended up not really liking the microfiber fabric, that’s the only minor quibble. I love the shape, sturdiness, and price!

    I’m a TARGET lady! Pretty much since I scored a beautiful entry-way bench! I had eyed the bench for quite some time. I came into the store one afternoon and down the main aisle there were 5 of the benches … on CLEARANCE! What a deal! Since then, I frequent Target quite often! They always have great items at great prices!

    I’m a Target lady. My favorite target score was actually never a score. We registered at Target, and ended up registering for a piece called “Lion with baby”. It was a huge concrete yard ornament the size of at least 2 toddlers. As the name suggests, it was a chinese style lion, with a baby…..in it’s mouth. awesome. Just knowing my Nana probably looked at that and wondered ‘dear god, why?’ makes it all worth it!

    I’m a Target Lady! I’ve picked up so many great bargains…trav-topped ottomans for the living room, fun stuff on clearance, the glittery Halloween candle with the skull doodad that made a great pendant. Maybe the best purchase was a flowery dress for less than $10 that I wore to a wedding, a few other occasions and got me compliments at work!

    I’M A TARGET LADY! What don’t I buy at Target? Everything from bath soap (the Up & Up version of Dove) to sunglasses to Thomas O’Brien sheets to placemats to baby formula (again Up & Up brand) and diapers and toys… I love their clearance picture frames— I scored two last week for $0.98 each :) I have to force myself to stay away from there just to avoid temptation and to stick to my {very frugal} budget. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

    I’M A TARGET LADY!
    My favorite Target find was last year about this time. I had seen some beautiful pillar candles at Pottery Barn that looked like they were covered with bark. Beautiful, but pricey. A couple of days later I was at Target, and there I saw the same candles–really couldn’t tell a difference (except of course with the price tag). Happy girl!

    My favorite item I have gotten from Target is my bedding. It is a super fun ruched prettiness with buttons. I love it. It was hundreds less than similar items I saw on Macy’s website and Restoration Hardware. Gotta love Target. Another thing I am loving right now are the artwork frames for kids artwork. So fun.

    I’M A TARGET LADY.

    My favorite target purchase, if I just HAVE to choose one, would be this beautiful candle holder made of wire and glazed glass in the shape of leaves. It is a piece piece in the day, but when burning a candle in a dim to dark room, it displays shadows across the room. It’s beautiful, fun, and great for mood lighting! (did I mention affordable, so affordable!)

    I’M A TARGET LADY!!….And my boyfriend is a TARGET MAN! :)

    Our favorite thing we got is our very versatile pub style dining table. We got it on target.com and it has flaps so extended, its a circular table that seats 4 or if you drop one of the flaps you can nestle it up against the wall and still have plenty of eating room (as we do) or you can close both flaps and have a rectangular table.

    Added bonuses – It arrived in just a few days, was a breeze to put together and we can order more chairs separately if necessary!
