Fab Freebie: Tek For Dads

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

According to random.org, the winner this week is… Kat (who celebrated Father’s Day with cards, dinner for her husband and a called to her dad). Congrats!

In honor of Father’s Day (yes, I realize it was yesterday, but why not keep the celebration alive?) we’re giving away – you guessed it – TOOLS. But these particular tools are Ryobi TEK4 tools, a series of ten cordless gadgets that look pretty darn sleek, are crazy durable, and run on a long-lasting 4V rechargeable battery. And come to think of it, ladies would look just as good slinging these guys (so they’re not just for dads). We picked our three most go-to devices from the TEK4 line and are giving them (plus an extra battery and charger) to one lucky guy or gal this week. So without further ado, your trio of tools: the Self-Leveling Plumb / Cross Laser, the Professional Stud Sensor, and the Compact Drill / Driver (and the handy battery they all share).

Ryobi Tek4 Giveaway

  • PRIZE: The three Ryobi TEK4 tools shown above, plus extra battery and charger.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TEK ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … share with us what you did you celebrate Father’s Day yesterday. A special breakfast? A family dinner? A card from your dog (Burger makes me one every year). Maybe just a phone call to say “hello” to someone special? Or was yesterday just your average Sunday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 22th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The contiguous 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers. See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Ryobi.

    TEK ME!

We celebrated with both dads by splitting the day in half. We had breakfast and a picnic lunch while hiking with my dad, and we BBQed and hung out with my father-in-law.

My Dad, family and I had a delicious waffle breakfast in the morning and then eased on down to normal Sunday-afternoon relaxation. I don’t think he’d want to spend Father’s Day any differently!

I’m in dire need of some TEK. :-) We bought one of those “worst house in the best neighborhood” kinda deals. I’ve been madly devouring several blogs for inspiration, instruction and let’s not kid ourselves–pics of Clara & Burger. :-)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, your blog, btw. (“Addicted to…” might be more accurate. You guys just ROCK IT!

    Stay cool.

Unfortunately I was out of town for a funeral and didn’t get to spend the day with my hubby, but he had the kids with him. I promised I would make it up to him next week when we celebrate his bday. I wouldn’t even have to cook his favorite meal if I won this gift for him!

TEK ME BABY!!! I unfortunately spent Father’s Day at work, UGH. I did however have time to make a phone call to my Dad and wish him a Happy Father’s Day, and was able to spend a little time with my kids and their Daddy. So with all that being said I NEED this set considering that my house is utter confusion since I am doing alot of projects by myself…AAAAHHHH! Some nice tools would be GREAT

We agreed on a new tradition this year-Mother’s Day and Father’s day would be a day we celebrate with our parents. We appreciate them much more now as parents and know our time with them is not infinite. In exchange, we would each get a day to celebrate a seperate mother’s/father’s day where we could do whatever we want (husband will play golf) and end with a nice dinner.

So we just had lunch with the family.

Then, we watched Hangover II-so VERY inappropriate in so many ways but hilarious! =)

Had to postpone Father’s day plans until this evening but I treated my old man to a movie -THE GREEN LANTERN. Cheesy but fun. It actually provided a good example of how NOT to be a good father (see: politician mistreats his smarty pants son and he becomes an EVIL VILLAIN!)… Think of all the good I could do in the world with these wonderful TEK tools (or at least something good for my eyes to look at around the house)!

For Father’s Day, we went out for breakfast, crabbing at the beach, picnic lunch, mountain biking in local woods, and got ice cream at (IMHO) THE best spot in New England (Down River Ice Cream in Essex, if you’re ever in the neighborhood). It was a gorgeous and fun family day!
