In honor of Father’s Day (yes, I realize it was yesterday, but why not keep the celebration alive?) we’re giving away – you guessed it – TOOLS. But these particular tools are Ryobi TEK4 tools, a series of ten cordless gadgets that look pretty darn sleek, are crazy durable, and run on a long-lasting 4V rechargeable battery. And come to think of it, ladies would look just as good slinging these guys (so they’re not just for dads). We picked our three most go-to devices from the TEK4 line and are giving them (plus an extra battery and charger) to one lucky guy or gal this week. I spent Father’s Day writing a paper for grad school while my AMAZING husband spent the day swimming with out 3 year old. See why he needs to win? He let me work on his special day and agreed that we could celebrate Father’s Day at another time.

I celebrated with the hubby by making him breakfast and telling him all the ways he is going to make a wonderful father for our baby due in September. Then we took a 40 mile road trip to the small town we grew up in to visit our father’s. Great day!

I took my dad into DC on Saturday to do the National History Museum and Botanical Gardens (incredible, by the way). On Sunday we went back into the city with my mom for Mass at the Basilica, followed by a tour (seriously awe-inspiring, whether you’re religious or not) and lunch in Barrack’s Row. A great Father’s Day weekend!
