In honor of Father’s Day (yes, I realize it was yesterday, but why not keep the celebration alive?) we’re giving away – you guessed it – TOOLS. But these particular tools are Ryobi TEK4 tools, a series of ten cordless gadgets that look pretty darn sleek, are crazy durable, and run on a long-lasting 4V rechargeable battery. And come to think of it, ladies would look just as good slinging these guys (so they’re not just for dads). We picked our three most go-to devices from the TEK4 line and are giving them (plus an extra battery and charger) to one lucky guy or gal this week. we went out to for nice breakfast with my parents who were visiting us to help lay laminate flooring in our first home that we just bought. we worked a 16hr day, so everyone was exhausted and hurting this fathers day! but the floor is DONE! :)

I called my step-dad, but he was an angry grump because he was in the middle of mowing the lawn. I called him again when I got off work and he was much more pleasant then. I’m actually going home this weekend where I will present him with a Diet Pepsi, a Snickers bar, and a book on how to make birdhouses/furniture/misc. things out of cut down trees (he and my mom are in the process of clearing land they just bought to build on).

I am in Nashville for a couple of weeks to stay with my pregnant sister-in-law while my brother is on tour (sadly left my hubby at home by his lonesome)… AND, I was able to spend the whole day with my parents!! We had a great day together, but we’re still waiting on my nephew to make his entrance into the world! :)

Then in the afternoon my husband enjoyed organizing his tools on his new tool bench we gave him (and I, ME, MYSELF, put together). Tek me!, Please. Church, lunch with my husband, daughter, and mom and dad at their retirement home. Had a ginormous feast of shrimp, beef, salmon, salads, and sweets and to top it all of – some champagne. It was a lovely afternoon.

Tek me! I called my Dad, and they were in a tow truck, my parents car had broken down on the highway, i felt really bad for them. Everything worked out for the best though!
