In honor of Father’s Day (yes, I realize it was yesterday, but why not keep the celebration alive?) we’re giving away – you guessed it – TOOLS. But these particular tools are Ryobi TEK4 tools, a series of ten cordless gadgets that look pretty darn sleek, are crazy durable, and run on a long-lasting 4V rechargeable battery. And come to think of it, ladies would look just as good slinging these guys (so they’re not just for dads). We picked our three most go-to devices from the TEK4 line and are giving them (plus an extra battery and charger) to one lucky guy or gal this week. Tek me!! My hubby’s first father’s day was awesome. It had a little bit of everything: extended family nap, brunch, bike ride to the park and playing in the sand with a grumpy son.

I made brunch (eggs benedict with crab for the adults and belgian waffles with strawberries for our 8 year old son). I cooked everything at our house and then packed it up “to go” and we ate and visited with my in-laws. Later, we had a nice relaxing afternoon and dinner – just my hubby, son, and me. It was a fabulous day!

I spent the day working on home projects and tried calling my dad…over and over and over, but he didn’t pick up until after 10pm. Turns out he was out with my sister for dinner, and fishing with my bro in the afternoon. But at least we got to have a nice long chat.
