In honor of Father’s Day (yes, I realize it was yesterday, but why not keep the celebration alive?) we’re giving away – you guessed it – TOOLS. But these particular tools are Ryobi TEK4 tools, a series of ten cordless gadgets that look pretty darn sleek, are crazy durable, and run on a long-lasting 4V rechargeable battery. And come to think of it, ladies would look just as good slinging these guys (so they’re not just for dads). We picked our three most go-to devices from the TEK4 line and are giving them (plus an extra battery and charger) to one lucky guy or gal this week. I was with my grandfather yesterday following a family wedding, and we spent the evening having dinner with my husband and his dad! Good family time!

My husband was on call and ended up having to go into the office at 6:30am. I kinda threw a wrench in the breakfast in bed I had planned. We did get to cookout and play in the yard with our sons later that afternoon.

Hubbs and I went back to my hometown to spend the day with my parents. My dad grilled ribs and chicken, and we spent the whole day chatting in the mancave he built this winter in his pole barn. Good times.

We had a BBQ (lucky us the rain stopped min. before) We just had a new baby, he is 2 weeks old. So I got our dad (husband) hand print mold sets and also paint for my 2 yr old to paint them. =)

Yesterday was a difficult day, as it was my first father’s day without my father (he passed away 7 weeks ago from cancer). My 15-month-old daughter and I celebrated her father (my husband) with steaks on the grill, and we took her to the park. We ended the day watching the College World Series!

It was my hubby’s first Father’s Day. He woke up to a special card “from our 10 month old son” on his nightstand. We then strolled to our favorite coffee shop. Next the hubs took a spin in my father’s fancy car. All events were sprinkled with watchings of the US Open :)
