In honor of Father’s Day (yes, I realize it was yesterday, but why not keep the celebration alive?) we’re giving away – you guessed it – TOOLS. But these particular tools are Ryobi TEK4 tools, a series of ten cordless gadgets that look pretty darn sleek, are crazy durable, and run on a long-lasting 4V rechargeable battery. And come to think of it, ladies would look just as good slinging these guys (so they’re not just for dads). We picked our three most go-to devices from the TEK4 line and are giving them (plus an extra battery and charger) to one lucky guy or gal this week. We spent a beautiful Michigan summer day out on the back porch with three of the family dads. Cooked out, drank beer, gave presents, and just enjoyed each others company. IT was fantastic!

I made a nice breakfast before my husband went to work. Them made a lasagna for dinner and bought his favorite wine. He came home and was able to relax and spend time playing with our daughter.

I went to visit my fathers grave at Great Lakes National Cemetery. He was the one that taught me girls can use tools too! He was an incredible man.

Our family always has a picnic. Grandfathers, uncles, dads, and cousins. All kinds of dad’s in that mix. Some biologial & others that have always been a fatherly figure. Just a time to celebrate them with good food and company.

I called my dad in the morning, and then spent the rest of the day moving into our new house. My Father’s Day gift to my dad was not needing him to help me move for once! He has kindly carried my belongings from apartment to apartment across most of the eastern seaboard over the years, it’s nice to finally give him a break!
