One of the most exciting parts of doing a project is getting to share the sweat-inducing results when it’s done. And that’s the idea behind HouseTalent, a free site where you can easily upload before pics, progress shots, and after photos of the DIYs that are going on in your digs. The friendly interface makes browsing other peoples’ accomplishments just as easy as uploading your own inspiration – from small furniture builds to major room overhauls. And to help you get some of your projects ready to share, HouseTalent is giving away a $250 gift card to World Market this week. Speaking of the world, this giveaway is available internationally – so if World Market doesn’t ship to you, you can select a local alternative for your gift card.

    I’M TALENTED

    I can sing! But I usually don’t let on to anyone who knows me. I have, several times in my life, been chastised for “singing too softly, the recording sang over you” — until I explained that was ME singing! Cue the shocked faces, love it :P

    I’m talented! I can totally make people feel good about themselves-“Hey, cute shirt! I love your hair! You have such a great voice!” Sadly, this is not a very exciting talent to share at a talent show.

    I’M TALENTED!

    in such a way where it’s nothing specific, but a general “I’m pretty good at pretty much anything” – sounds a lot like bragging, but I’d probably prefer to be REALLY talented at one or two things, rather than sort of talented at many.

    My thumbs bend backwards at the top joint… which I’m not sure is actually a talent, but it freaks people out :) I also have really nice handwriting. (Or so I’ve been told.)

    I’m a very fast reader. In the past, if went on a beach vacation, I needed a whole suitcase full of books because I read 1 1/2 a day. Thank goodness for the Kindle!

    I’M TALENTED!!

    (just typing that makes me laugh because I would never yell that in real life haha)

    I have a ridiculous memory with anything to do with numbers … which is pretty handy since I work in banking. Also, I LOVE to sing and since I got a scholarship for it .. I guess that means there is talent there somewhere :)
