And that’s the idea behind HouseTalent, a free site where you can easily upload before pics, progress shots, and after photos of the DIYs that are going on in your digs. The friendly interface makes browsing other peoples’ accomplishments just as easy as uploading your own inspiration – from small furniture builds to major room overhauls. And to help you get some of your projects ready to share, HouseTalent is giving away a $250 gift card to World Market this week. Speaking of the world, this giveaway is available internationally – so if World Market doesn’t ship to you, you can select a local alternative for your gift card.

    I’m Talented…

    I can quote every single line from “The Goonies” and “Home Alone”. Yes – a kid of the 80s and early 90s. And, I don’t think that this really qualifies as talent… maybe embarrassing quirk.

    I think my favorite talent is being able to recite and act out the poem “Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll.

    I’m talented! I’m a self taught free-hand sewer. Nothing elaborate, but I’ve made some pretty good pillowcases, curtains and skirts :)

      I’M TALENTED! I can cook but don’t like to clean up the mess afterwards. I do like to clean otherwise. I paint and sew and garden, but am not a master of any of my talents.

    I’M TALENTED! I have the ridiculously useless talent of remembering song lyrics. Actually, it’s very useful at weddings when I impress everyone on the dance floor.

    I’m talented! I can play the flute, but I can also roll my ankles so much I can actually walk on the outsides of my feet. :)

    I’m talented! It’s nothing that would win a talent show, but I’m really good at memorizing numbers- from phone numbers (useful) to my elementary school id number (useless, but couldn’t forget it if I tried)

    I’m talented.

    Right now my talent is patience. Both kids woke up a lot last night. And then the older one tried to wake up the younger one who is napping after biting a random kid at the playground 3 seconds after we got there so we had to leave. And magically I still love him.

    My talent is that I know a little about A LOT of stuff, people always ask me about anything to get a feel for a subject/item etc. I’m always absorbing any info I can on almost anything!

    I was a baton twirler in high school. My “big ending” was twirling two fire batons! (There may or may not have been singed arms involved at one point).
