One of the most exciting parts of doing a project is getting to share the sweat-inducing results when it’s done. And that’s the idea behind HouseTalent, a free site where you can easily upload before pics, progress shots, and after photos of the DIYs that are going on in your digs. The friendly interface makes browsing other peoples’ accomplishments just as easy as uploading your own inspiration – from small furniture builds to major room overhauls. And to help you get some of your projects ready to share, HouseTalent is giving away a $250 gift card to World Market this week. Speaking of the world, this giveaway is available internationally – so if World Market doesn’t ship to you, you can select a local alternative for your gift card.

    I have an endearing love for potatoes. So, naturally, I can make any type of potato like it ain’t nobody’s business. Really, though- I make really good potatoes.

    I’m Talented! I run a theater company – the Reading Theater Project (that’s Reading the city, not the action) – and am an actor, playwright, and teaching artist. I also got an oboe for my birthday, so soon, I’ll add that to my list. :)

    I’M TALENTED!

    I recently discovered I have a talent for event planning. Currently planning my wedding and have had several vendors comment on my organization and inquire if I was a professional planner, due to my insight. Who knew!?

    I’M TALENTED!

    I can…well, I can…Cheeze-Louise, this is a toughie…

    I can twirl my tongue (i.e. stick it out and then flip it all the way over one way and then the other). Apparently, not everyone can do this. I’m sure it’s a talent that could save all of humanity, should a world-wide crisis arise. ;-)

    I’M TALENTED! This is going to make me sound like a BIG nerd, but I am especially talented at PowerPoint. (Yep, nerd!) I use PowerPoint everyday and I am really good at designing presentations that are entertaining. (At least my students tell me I am.)

    I’M TALENTED!
    One of my talents is putting together very colorful outfits involving layering seemingly non-coordinating patterns and colors that “work” even when most people would probably not be able to pull them off.

    I can (almost) always get my kiddos to stop crying. At this point in life I consider that an amazing talent. Want to know the secret, talk really quietly until they stop because they want to hear what you are saying :) No bribing required!

    I’m Talented! I am extraordinarily gifted at tripping/running into furniture/generally doing something particularly clumsy at highly inappropriate moments. Oh, and I can make a mean cupcake. :)

    I’M TALENTED! I’ve been singing since the 2nd grade… and even met my musically-inclined hubby in a college a cappella choir! Sadly, I can also tell you that I’m not at all talented when it comes to gardening/growing plants. I somehow manage to kill anything green. :-( Accidentally, of course!

    I used to think that wiggling my ears was a special talent, until I found out that most of my friends could do it too. Now I’d say my special talent is accomplishing most any task with just one hand — a new skill I’ve picked since our daughter was born!
