One of the most exciting parts of doing a project is getting to share the sweat-inducing results when it’s done. And that’s the idea behind HouseTalent, a free site where you can easily upload before pics, progress shots, and after photos of the DIYs that are going on in your digs. The friendly interface makes browsing other peoples’ accomplishments just as easy as uploading your own inspiration – from small furniture builds to major room overhauls. And to help you get some of your projects ready to share, HouseTalent is giving away a $250 gift card to World Market this week. Speaking of the world, this giveaway is available internationally – so if World Market doesn’t ship to you, you can select a local alternative for your gift card.

    So excited to see this post! My husband has been friends with one of the House Talent creators since he was a kid. They both grew up in the same small town. Now we both have baby boys and don’t hang out nearly as often as we should. I’m completely star struck that Drew’s site is getting props from YHL! Now I’m gonna have to ask for Drew’s autograph next time we get together! Love all around!

    I’m Talented! Oh, and special talent… Hmm, making kick arse guac. Seriously, I get way more comments on that than anything else.

    I have the ability to lose my keys/wallet/phone/etc. faster than you can say “where are my keys/wallet/phone/etc?”

    I’M TALENTED!

    My odd ball talent is that I can raise my left eyebrow up and down. It drives my husband crazy that he can’t do it.

    Fun fact: the reason I learned this is because I watched countless episodes of Days of Our Lives at my Grandma’s house, and my favorite character as a kid would always give this look, and raise her eyebrow. I sat in front of the mirror day after day training my eyebrow to do it, and thus my eyebrow raising talent was born.

    My special talent is my cooking skills! I can usually find random things in the kitchen and make them come together for a yummy meal. :)

    I’m talented at drawing, painting and sculpting. I am not gifted at picking a good neutral paint color for walls! Need a little color to spice it up!

    “I’m Talented!”….so I asked my 10 year old son Koby what he thinks I am talented at and his response was this “Mom, you are such a talented artist. You draw the most intricate pictures! (Honestly I didn’t even know he knew what the word intricate meant?! But such a sweet response from my boy;)

    I’m Talented!

    I can spot actors in movies and reference them by name, and list all of their other movies. It’s a great party trick. So is tying a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue, and I can do that to.

    I’M TALENTED!!!

    I have a knack for organizing the Christmas ornament boxes together into the big box they all go into tetris-style, so everything fits perfectly and no edges stick out. I’ve been able to do it since I was little (much to my mother’s delight) and it comes in handy for other organizing tasks!

    I’M TALENTED

    I was a ballet dancer for many, many years and performed in several well-known ballet productions.

    …Also, I can totally do the spoon hanging off the nose trick. Booya!

    I’m Talented!

    I can make my tongue go wide to skinny at the drop of a hat. It’s my go-to party trick. Wide-skinny-wide-skinny-wide…you get it. I used to think it wasn’t that odd until people started asking me to do it for their friends. Weird? Yes. But awesome if it wins me a gift card to World Market!! :)
