***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Who doesn’t love a sale? Especially when it’s to the tune of 50-75% off retail. Well that’s exactly how HauteLook rolls when it comes to creating 48-hour deeply discounted sales on home items (as well as clothing and beauty stuff too). A new sale pops up every morning at 11am EST, but here’s a sampling of what was up for grabs last week:

Hautelook Tiles

And one of you is gonna get $100 to spend on HauteLook this week, meaning you could snag items like an $850 graphic rug for just 80 bucks out of your own pocket. Not too shabby…

Hautelook Rugs

Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: $100 towards anything on HauteLook.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M HAUTE” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about the all-time best deal you’ve ever scored. Was it an incredible sale that landed you a deep discount? Or maybe you bartered your way to something for free?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 20th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

This giveaway’s random winner is… Valerie J (who’s scored a $4000 Restoration Hardware armoire for only $315 just because the top crown molding was busted). Congrats!

I’M HAUTE…. best deal= my husband went to an outdoors store and they were having a random $5 shoe sale. He got himself a pair of tevas, me a pair of tevas and clarks, for 15 bucks total. should have been about $200 for all of those shoes…and they’re still going strong 5 years later. :)

Hm, the best deal I ever got on anything was probable the whole room makeover I just did at ikea for $250. Perhaps I’m just excited to have bought my first set of curtains ever. What can I say, I could never justify spending the money on apartment windows, but my $14/pair curtains rocked my socks.

I scored our dining table and 8 chairs on Craig’s List for $150. Two of the chairs had arms, so they got a custom black paint job and new damask fabric to help them fit in year round in our sitting room (this made my husband VERY happy since the alternatives I was considering before stumbling on this bargain were $150 each). The rest of the chairs got some glossy white paint and simple black fabric on the seats. All told, we spent less than $200 on the set and got custom furniture for two rooms out of the deal.

I’m HAUTE! The best deal we’ve ever scored was our kitchen table. We were going to purchase it for around $1100 at Costco and they encouraged us to upgrade to the executive membership to earn rewards. We jumped at the chance but it was too late in the day to run the credit. When we came back to process everything the next week the table was $300 off and the sales lady gave us the lower price!

We are always on the lookout for bargain prices on items we need. We are currently getting ready to close on a new home, which needs new paint in almost every room. We’ve been scouring local Lowe’s, where they sell mistinted paint for $5 a gallon. So far we’ve gotten 6 gallons in the colors, sheens, and low VOC formulas that we would have chosen anyway. One more gallon and we will have enough for all the rooms, for the price of one gallon of premium paint.
