Fab Freebie: Scoping Out The Goods

Glad to hear so many of you had fun with the quiz (though sorry it had a bit of trouble loading for some). Random.org has selected our lucky winner and she is… Emily W (who thought she’d be BOHO, but ended up a mix of Sassy and Classic). Congrats Emily!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted about a fun what’s-your-design-style type quiz (like these of the past). And it’s been never since our post about one came with a chance to win $500 from HomeGoods. So if ever there was time to put aside your allegiance to scientific results, this would be a good one. HomeGoods has revamped their Stylescope quiz (with the help of HGTV’s Taniya Nayak) to help pin down your style in just one question. Pick your favorite five of the 36 provided images and BAM! –  instant diagnosis.

The cool part (besides the $500 prize) is they not only give you a description of your style, but also throw in quick tips for decorating, shopping, gift-giving, and even entertaining based on your evaluation. They also suggest a Pinterest board dedicated to your style as well as a blog that showcases it as well. And you just might recognize the name of the blog that goes along with the “Sassy” style. We were totally flattered when they asked to link over to us (and giving one of you guys a $500 credit was the icing on the cake).

    Scope me!

    My style is Sassy with a touch of classic. I think it is pretty accurate. I think my classic is a little stronger, which tones down the sassy a bit. However, all in all I am an outside the box person and really look for one or two features in a room to stand out and be different. Nice to see my instincts reflect my style.

    Scope me! I was Sassy, which is funny because I am terrified to put any bright colors anywhere in my house. I wish I was brave enough to do it, but it freaks me out. :)

    SCOPE ME! I got urban funk and boho but I think it mostly reflects my taste in photographic approaches more than anything! Still interesting. Please pick me!!!

    I am Urban Funk and a touch Boho. I think Urban Funk describes my style – loud but quiet, bold but simple. I like.

    Ahh! It took forEVER for the page to finally work.. poor HomeGoods :)

    I took the quiz a couple times and got Urban Funk with Boho and Set Sail with Boho. Yep, I’m all of that. Boho Beachy Funky Urban. Not sure how all of that would look in the same house, but that’s me :)

    I checked out all the other ones and I was like – Hey, weird. Where the heck is YHL?? – Lol, best for last and all that, right? I think my style was Sassy when I was in my teens and early 20’s, I know I still love a lot of stuff in the sassy style, but my style has definitely evolved in the last couple of years. I like a lot more natural items and textures in my decor now. In the last couple weeks? months? it seems like you guys have made a lot of choices that I absolutely ADORE. It all started with that basket pendant, and then you found those bar stools(!!), and now the wicker dining chairs. Sigh. I can’t wait to see what you guys do next. :)

    SCOPE ME!

    I was classic with a touch of boho. I think that is pretty spot on. It suggested I add an antique gold mirror, a bust and ivory & wood tones. Check, check and check…already have all three of those!

    SCOPE ME!
    I am farmhouse glam, and I would totally agree with. My husband though was vegas baby which made me think about crossing styles. I’m always looking for design ideas we can agree upon because they’re hard to find!
    I liked the quiz, but noticed that it was very female centric… all the descriptions are about “her” style which hubs didn’t appreciate. Guys care about their furniture too!

    SCOPE ME! I was Farmhouse Glam – I’d agree with that…or at least that’s what I’m drawn to even if my whole house doesn’t feel that way yet.

    SCOPE ME!! I took the quiz and got classic with a touch of boho!! Completely me :) I like everything to have its place, but I love to reuse and restyle things in an unexpected way. Love it!

    I was sassy with urban funk. I thinks this fits me perfect. I love some bold accent with a zig zag. But also love clean lines with letters and numerals.

    I took the quiz and it was backwards; I go urban funk with a touch of classic. My style’s probably more classic urban with a touch of funk ;). And I was just at a relatively new Home Goods store yesterday in Cupertino, CA. Pretty groovy place :).

    SCOPE ME!

    …I got Urban Funk with a touch of Classic…which is not very accurate at all, for me. Maybe I picked the pictures I did for reasons other than those they imagined I might? I liked the stuff on the Sassy page best, but I really think I’m more Vintage Eclectic than anything else. My dream home would be entirely designed by Emily Henderson.
