Fab Freebie: Scoping Out The Goods

Glad to hear so many of you had fun with the quiz (though sorry it had a bit of trouble loading for some). Random.org has selected our lucky winner and she is… Emily W (who thought she’d be BOHO, but ended up a mix of Sassy and Classic). Congrats Emily!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted about a fun what’s-your-design-style type quiz (like these of the past). And it’s been never since our post about one came with a chance to win $500 from HomeGoods. So if ever there was time to put aside your allegiance to scientific results, this would be a good one. HomeGoods has revamped their Stylescope quiz (with the help of HGTV’s Taniya Nayak) to help pin down your style in just one question. Pick your favorite five of the 36 provided images and BAM! –  instant diagnosis.

The cool part (besides the $500 prize) is they not only give you a description of your style, but also throw in quick tips for decorating, shopping, gift-giving, and even entertaining based on your evaluation. They also suggest a Pinterest board dedicated to your style as well as a blog that showcases it as well. And you just might recognize the name of the blog that goes along with the “Sassy” style. We were totally flattered when they asked to link over to us (and giving one of you guys a $500 credit was the icing on the cake).

    “SCOPE ME!” I did take it last week and can’t remember what I was… maybe spa and new country or something like that. I couldn’t get away from that new country.

    I got matched up with spa life, but I think my secondary, urban funk was really more my style. Maybe a combination of the two.

    SCOPE ME!!

    My quiz result was BOHO with a touch of Urban Funk, which is definitely the direction my style is evolving toward.

    At first I didn’t think it was right, but then I remembered I just bought a floor pillow from J&M that looks JUST LIKE the one in the Boho photos.

    It makes all the sense. My style before I started moving towards the warmer more vibrant stuff was all Urban Funk. I love those tractor stools, and other unusual furniture styles like the surf board shaped tables. If I had to choose a percentage of each, I’d say I am more likely a 50/50 split of Boho and Urban Funk.

    Scope Me! The site isn’t available right now…but I love Home Goods and only wish that they would re-open the stores that they closed in the Milwaukee area…or give us a nice big store with lots of merchandise. I love shopping at Home Goods and me along with many friends are very sad about their departure in our area.

    SCOPE ME!

    I got Vegas Baby with a touch of Sassy. I was surprised at first but after reading the description, I think it’s pretty accurate! I love bold colors, animal print (just a little) and sparkley/metallic accents!

    I would love to win this prize; a HomeGoods is about to open near me in a week or 2!!

    The style quiz said “Boho,” with a touch of “Set Sail” – which makes sense, since my family room is Modern Moroccan and my bedroom is Beachy Relaxation :)

    I was Classic with a touch of Boho, but neither of those sounded completely like me. New farmhouse should have been it…rustic yarn in bowl, wood rounds, cozy espresso in white cup/saucer, pink peony…I don’t know how they missed Farmhouse.

    Oh, well. I’d be delighted with a HomeGoods certificate!

    Yay, hope I win! We are FINALLY getting a Home Goods store in my city and my husband and I are on a big nesting kick lately, so this would be awesome!

    Took the quiz, and I’m Classic, with a touch of Boho. Sounds about right!

    I took the quiz and got Vegas Baby with a touch of Urban Funk. Vegas is one of my fav places to visit, and I love the decor in all of the over-the-top hotels, so I think it’s pretty accurate! Very cool quiz, I loved so many of the images it was hard to choose just 5!

    I got Set Sail…

    Set Sail is as laid back as a warm breeze off the ocean. She’s inspired by sun-washed blues, soft, sandy whites, nostalgic, nautical stripes, and coastal elements. She saturates her home—and thus, those around her—with a sense of calm so palpable you’re almost sitting dockside when you visit her.

    Sounds like me!
