Fab Freebie: Scoping Out The Goods

Glad to hear so many of you had fun with the quiz (though sorry it had a bit of trouble loading for some). Random.org has selected our lucky winner and she is… Emily W (who thought she’d be BOHO, but ended up a mix of Sassy and Classic). Congrats Emily!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted about a fun what’s-your-design-style type quiz (like these of the past). And it’s been never since our post about one came with a chance to win $500 from HomeGoods. So if ever there was time to put aside your allegiance to scientific results, this would be a good one. HomeGoods has revamped their Stylescope quiz (with the help of HGTV’s Taniya Nayak) to help pin down your style in just one question. Pick your favorite five of the 36 provided images and BAM! –  instant diagnosis.

The cool part (besides the $500 prize) is they not only give you a description of your style, but also throw in quick tips for decorating, shopping, gift-giving, and even entertaining based on your evaluation. They also suggest a Pinterest board dedicated to your style as well as a blog that showcases it as well. And you just might recognize the name of the blog that goes along with the “Sassy” style. We were totally flattered when they asked to link over to us (and giving one of you guys a $500 credit was the icing on the cake).

    SCOPE ME!

    I got Classic with a touch of Boho. I think it’s pretty accurate. My style is definitely Classic in larger pieces, but Boho in colors & accessories.

    SCOPE ME!!!

    It turns out I am “Spa Life” with a touch of “Sassy”. Spa life? Bahh! At first I thought “I’m not Spa-y, I’m way to energetic and spastic!”, then I looked around my living room. Three buddha statues visible (just from where I sit), dark wood, light walls, giant plants….Touche, HomeGoods. Well played.

    SCOPE ME! I took the quiz and came up with “Urban Funk”. Um, I would NEVER describe my sense of style as “Urban Funk”. I’d call my design style “Your Creepy But Sweet Great-Aunty” but it’s cool. Their description of “Urban Funk” turned out to be pretty close to the mark, minus my love for displaying the mummified remains of woodland creatures, decaying taxidermy, and found animal skulls.

    SCOPE ME! New Country and a touch of Urban Funk! I never thought of myself as a country gal but I do love a good flea market so I’ll take it!

    I took the quiz and got sassy with a touch of classic.. Sassy threw me off because the background of the display photo is red (my least favorite color) but when I looked closer, it’s totally me!

    Scope me!!! My results were dead on…sassy with a little boho. Bright colors and fun geometrics with some embroidery and texture? I think I need to fan myself!

    SCOPE ME!

    I am URBAN FUNK with a touch of BOHO, which I’m not sure what to think about it. I don’t think I ever saw myself as urban or boho, then again I think I tend to think about clothing when talking about style. But I have to say the pick of urban funk was pretty great and I loved the metal letters! As for the boho style, I think I like it when it comes to home decor in the same way I like a dangle earring, a small but bold statement! Great quiz and tips!

    SCOPE ME! I am Boho with a touch of Traveler. And I browsed the others, and they really did pick the best ones for me! Probably not my husband, though (I sneak those pieces in).

    I got sassy with a touch of classic which I think is spot on. I am into the bright colors and patterns right now, but still want a timeless look!

    Scope me!

    I originally was dubbed “classic” but when I took it again after REALLY looking at all the photos, I got Farm House Glam with a touch of New Country. I do love classic antiques, but I generally go for more of a country, woodsy, comfy feel with a few touches of soft, shiny, or intricate feminine things. I still absolutely LOVE all of the textures and combinations that you all bring into your home!

    Congrats on having a whole style dedicated to you on their quiz! :)
