Frank Lloyd Wright is my favorite. My grandfather got me a great architectural book that had pop-ups of beautiful buildings that I loved looking through. I guess that’s where I learned about FLW. I love his use of nature.

The Irish born architect and designer(1878-1976), whose lifeworks I was lucky enough to stumble upon in a Irish museum. A women so far ahead of her time it is amazing. Her brilliant life and works were catapulted into the limelight when in 1972 Yves Saint-Laurent bought a screen of hers at auction.
If you love beautiful design and want to treat yourself: look up her works Her life was just as interesting by doing business under a male name Jean Desert in Paris. I’d love to win this prize but be just as thrilled if more people could see and appreciate her work.

I don’t know that I could name just one artist that I’ve admired. As an artist myself, I tend to have hundreds if not thousands of inspiring artists I admire. I DO love the Eames lounge chair and ottoman though. Every time I see that chair, it always makes me want to have one. They work in every type of room design – contemporary to traditional, modern or eclectic. Amazing!
