Miller Me! Honestly I think part of the reason I’m drawn to simple modern design is because we just recently sold our 1950’s rancher in TN. I’d still die to have anything from that era in my mid 90’s house! Eames chairs have been a favorite since childhood.

Miller me! I have always loved the work of FLW, but I don’t think his homes were meant for real life. Many have complained about his rigidity about his furniture being used in his homes, but it’s awfully boxy stuff. Maybe you have to live in the plains states for it to all make sense. Maybe I’m more of a Rennie Mackintosh gal?

In my humble opinion, this is by far your most crave worthy giveaway yet. However, for classic designer/architect I admire, I’ll skip the Eames and say Charles Goodman. I was introduced to his work through YHL (the house crashing at Hollin Hills) and was immediately hooked. My friends and I did the Hollin Hills home tour this spring and with each open house I fell a little bit more in love.

I love Frank Lloyd Wright. I took an “Seeing/Knowing Visual Arts” class in my first year of college and was introduced to this crazy designer. One of his houses is even in the state I live in. (He kind of reminds me of Walt Disney but with houses? And I LOVE Disney!) This art class led me to become obsessed with art history and I took as many classes as have been able to sense! For a college senior who is engaged to be married next summer (and honeymooning in Disney World!), winning some furniture would be fantastic!
