I don’t know about a favorite artist or designer, but I love anything from the fifties and sixties (along with what seems like everyone else). I think it’s the nostalgia of spending time with family In my grandparents’ homes.

Even though I live in a 1930’s bungalow I am a huge fan of the Dutch mid century modern. My favorite designer is Bernhard Pederson and Son with his sleek designs for dining and lounging. He has a tambord credenza design that is so finely cut that looking at it you would think it’s a solid panel. I have a friend that just bought a contemporary 1978 house that was part of an estate, they gave her the option to purchase the dining room furniture and it was Pedersen’s entire 1970 design, she scored it for $500. The trustee had no idea, Score!
