Fab Freebie: Pump Up The Volume

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

I’m gonna bust out some flashback lingo from YHL circa 2008: prepare to swoon. This week’s giveaway is from our lovely sponsor Jessica Rose at Vol. 25, home to some of the most charming art around. I mean, how can you not fall for these robotic lovebirds?

Vol25 Robots

The great thing is that Jessica’s artwork comes in the form of prints, t-shirts, rubber stamps, mouse pads, books and even photoshop overlays (so you can add a little hand-drawn flare to a photo). And since we couldn’t even begin to pick just a few favorite items for the giveaway, Jessica’s hooking up TWO of you with $50 gift cards towards anything in her shop (plus there’s a discount awaiting everyone on Thursday so stay tuned for that). Now you that know what’s up for grabs – how ’bout some more eye candy?

Vol25 Bicycle

Vol25 Typewriter

And here are all the contest deets:

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift certificate towards anything from Vol. 25’s shops on Etsy or Zazzle.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with either the words “PUMP IT UP” or “TURN IT DOWN” depending on…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … whether you love a loud and lively lifestyle or you prefer to keep things quiet and peaceful. Do you feel better surrounded by lots of activity, energizing music, or boisterous laughter? Or would you rather find yourself in an intimate conversation, enjoying soothing nature sounds, or quietly reading a book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 21th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: TWO
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world! Woo to the hoo.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

TURN IT DOWN! I am constantly on the move and have a full schedule of work and graduate school in the city, so I find winding down with quiet time especially important these days.

Turn it down… I love having a quiet home. That’ll change, I’m sure, once we have kids. But I like having a quiet place to think and read and be. It’s nice!

I love it when people are having a great time & laughing & making ‘cheery’ noise (unlike my brothers extra loud metallica style music). Their is something so infectious about laughter. It makes my day, always!

Turn it down. I enjoy the occasional raucous get-together, but I prefer the solitude of my computer, my screened-in porch and a sunny afternoon. Ahh, pure bliss.

TURN IT DOWN!! My fiance and I live a pretty hectic life – commuting downtown while living in the ‘burbs. A week ago, we bought a brand-new house that will be built just after our wedding in October. So amid all the celebrating and wedding-planning and house-buying… We have to find the time to chill out together, one of my favourite activities.

Much love to your fab blog from Vancouver, Canada. Can’t wait to love our new house and maybe send in some submissions of our transformation from Construction Beige to Lovely Nest!

“Pump it UP!” is a must in our home full of 5 girls under the age of 9! We are on a constant hum throughout the day but once the little ones close their eyes, it is lovely to “Turn it down” with my husband. ;)

    Hi Youngsters!

    Pump it down!?

I guess what I mean is that I really enjoy having friends and family over making our home just that, a home. Whether that means they just come over and have dinner and watch a movie or play our favorite game of cards.

Thanks guys, oh and the nursery is so warm and inviting. It looks like a good place to start some happy memories. Best of luck to you both in all that you do!

    Turn it down!

With the recent purchase of a new home, the sale of our current home (in less than 3 weeks), my husband’s new job and two rambunctious boys (5 and 2), I would prefer to turn it down. I’m loving the “wherever we are together, that is home.” I’m starting to get emotional about leaving the house that has been our home for almost 8 years. Both of my babies came home to this house. But the new house will be our home soon enough and my husband keeps reminding me that home is definitely where we all are together…I might just buy the print even if I don’t win!! :) Thanks guys. and hey, the nursery looks fantastic.

I have 2 young girls – and the oldest, a 3 year old, barely stops talking long enough to take a breath. so for now I would say “turn it down” since I could use a little extra quiet time. :) I love these prints and her etsy shop! thanks for sharing.
