Fab Freebie: Pump Up The Volume

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

I’m gonna bust out some flashback lingo from YHL circa 2008: prepare to swoon. This week’s giveaway is from our lovely sponsor Jessica Rose at Vol. 25, home to some of the most charming art around. I mean, how can you not fall for these robotic lovebirds?

Vol25 Robots

The great thing is that Jessica’s artwork comes in the form of prints, t-shirts, rubber stamps, mouse pads, books and even photoshop overlays (so you can add a little hand-drawn flare to a photo). And since we couldn’t even begin to pick just a few favorite items for the giveaway, Jessica’s hooking up TWO of you with $50 gift cards towards anything in her shop (plus there’s a discount awaiting everyone on Thursday so stay tuned for that). Now you that know what’s up for grabs – how ’bout some more eye candy?

Vol25 Bicycle

Vol25 Typewriter

And here are all the contest deets:

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift certificate towards anything from Vol. 25’s shops on Etsy or Zazzle.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with either the words “PUMP IT UP” or “TURN IT DOWN” depending on…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … whether you love a loud and lively lifestyle or you prefer to keep things quiet and peaceful. Do you feel better surrounded by lots of activity, energizing music, or boisterous laughter? Or would you rather find yourself in an intimate conversation, enjoying soothing nature sounds, or quietly reading a book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 21th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: TWO
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world! Woo to the hoo.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

PUMP IT UP!!!! I love these prints. I had looked them up a while back and fell in love with the “Wherever we are together, that’s home”! I like to laugh and be in a group… until I don’t anymore, then I’m ready to be curled up on the couch in my quiet house! =)

    Pump it…down.

I know that isn’t the exact phrase you were looking for, but I truly do enjoy a mix of high energy and quiet time. I’m big into reading (I think we’ve offically run out of room to store all the books), so I certainly enjoy my quiet time, but I’m also a very social person who enjoys a good pumpin’ party now and again.

I’m an extrovert all the way, but I like the occasional Sunday afternoon silence with a good book and the sunshine :)

Pump it up and turn it down. No, really, it’s impossible to pick one of the two. I’d get terribly bored eventually if I stayed in all the time with a book and some quiet and relaxing music, but spending too much time around other people makes me crave my own space. For me, it’s a good balance between the two, please :D

Used to be a pump it up girl, going to punk shows and being an altogether kind of a crazy girl but, in my old age, I’m much more inclined to turn it down. How things change…

    TURN IT DOWN!!!

I love the quiet! I work in a library, which is quiet all day and when I’m at home I enjoy reading, cooking and art activities that I enjoy doing with no noise.

This is a great contest. I recently bought my first home that I will be moving into in the Fall and I need artwork! Vol.25 has some amazing items!

TURN IT DOWN! But then PUMP IT UP! I like nice quiet evenings during the week. The best way for me to wind down from a hectic day at work is to curl up with a book or cook a delicious meal with my fiance. But by the time the weekend has rolled around, I get a little antsy and need to go out and have some fun!

TURN IT DOWN! Nature is my kind of music.

There’s nothing better than grabbing your fave magazines and sitting in your backyard with birds chirpping. Or taking those magazines to the beach and soaking up the sun with the sound of the waves rolling in.

PUMP IT UP and TURN IT DOWN!

We have two small children and I typically try to keep a calm, soothing environment around the house, frequently asking them to “turn it down”.

However, on the rare occassion my husband and I get to go out with friends, we like to PUMP IT UP to blow off some steam and enjoy our time together.

Pump it up, then turn it down!

We’re expecting a little girl in 3 weeks and up until now we’ve been pumping it up getting everything ready for the house/nursery, wrapping up loose ends for maternity leave and attending showers. Now it’s time to turn it down and enjoy our last few weeks of quietness and solitude while we can.
