Fab Freebie: Pump Up The Volume

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

I’m gonna bust out some flashback lingo from YHL circa 2008: prepare to swoon. This week’s giveaway is from our lovely sponsor Jessica Rose at Vol. 25, home to some of the most charming art around. I mean, how can you not fall for these robotic lovebirds?

Vol25 Robots

The great thing is that Jessica’s artwork comes in the form of prints, t-shirts, rubber stamps, mouse pads, books and even photoshop overlays (so you can add a little hand-drawn flare to a photo). And since we couldn’t even begin to pick just a few favorite items for the giveaway, Jessica’s hooking up TWO of you with $50 gift cards towards anything in her shop (plus there’s a discount awaiting everyone on Thursday so stay tuned for that). Now you that know what’s up for grabs – how ’bout some more eye candy?

Vol25 Bicycle

Vol25 Typewriter

And here are all the contest deets:

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift certificate towards anything from Vol. 25’s shops on Etsy or Zazzle.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with either the words “PUMP IT UP” or “TURN IT DOWN” depending on…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … whether you love a loud and lively lifestyle or you prefer to keep things quiet and peaceful. Do you feel better surrounded by lots of activity, energizing music, or boisterous laughter? Or would you rather find yourself in an intimate conversation, enjoying soothing nature sounds, or quietly reading a book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 21th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: TWO
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world! Woo to the hoo.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Turn it down! My husband and I have happily been leaving the TV off as the weather here warms up. So nice! And love your new sponsor!

Turn it down and pump it up!

I love a good mix of both. If I find myself with too much time to rest and enjoy the silence I find myself missing the noise (and vice versa). I like a little of both.

I love the quiet, especially being able to open the windows and “listen” to the breeze/wind. Too much noise makes me cranky!

    PUMP IT UP!
I love when the family gets together and we joke around, play games, and laugh really loud. I’m always ready to go go go!
But there are times when I like calmness, too. :)

Turn it down… AND Pump it up!

I think you can’t full enjoy either one without the other. I enjoy going out and being social, but I also appreciate my quiet time greatly. There are occasional weeks where I feel like I hardly have a moment to myself, and those are the times I value my alone time immensely. :) At the same time, I get antsy and miss the outside world when I stay in all the time. So…. both!

TURN IT DOWN…for the most part. I do enjoy “pumping it up” occasionally, but on a day to day basis I enjoy being more mellow.

TURN IT DOWN but sometimes you have to PUMP IT UP. I like to maintain things at a calm level, but eventually the passionate part of you takes over and you have to do something silly like sing to your wife in the car when your favorite/inspiring/cheesy song comes on, or your 2 year old wants to dance. The rest of the time can be collected and professional :)

I can only take so much of the ‘pump it up’ before I need to spend some quiet time. Either way though..as long as you’re enjoying life :)
