Fab Freebie: Plum Luck

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries.***

Sometimes you just need a few good pillows to make things better. Okay, maybe they won’t be life-changing, but the right pillow can definitely be sofa-changing. And that’s why we feel lucky to have Plum Cushion as this week’s giveaway sponsor.

Plum Cushions Three Pillows

Melanie’s spot-on taste in fabrics- from Kelly Wearstler to Liberty of London- combined with her knack for all-things sewing creates a finely curated collection of handmade pillows that amp up the style-factor of any sofa. Just check out how much the character of the same couch can change with a few simple pillow switcheroos:

Plum Cushion Three Couches

And this week one of you is gonna score $150 toward any pillow(s) in Plum Cushion’s Esty Shop, so on Thursday we’ll be wishing someone “Happy Cushion Shopping!” while the rest of you will score a nice little discount (so stay tuned for that). Here are all the freebie deets:

  • PRIZE: $150 toward any pillow(s) in Plum Cushion’s Esty Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M FEELING LUCKY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your lucky charms, rituals, routines or anything else you have/do to increase your luck. Oh, and we’d love to know if there’s a particular pillow that catches your eye.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, May 12th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’M FEELING LUCKY!

I tend to be a very superstitious person, especially when it comes to sports. I used to have a long list of rituals I would “perform” before and during games. Nowadays while watching sports from the sidelines, I’ll stay seated in the same position an entire game in order to not mess my team up (as if I have anything to do with them winning or losing.) I also have a thing with the number 3 and any numbers divisible by 3. Instead of setting my alarm clock for 6, I set it for 6:03, 6:09, etc. I’m odd, what can I say.

I love all of the pillows…

    I’m feeling lucky!

My secret weapon is lucky number 47, which hmmmmm. . . may not apply to the order of this post. Doh!

I really like the basic geometric, blue and white pillow.

I’M FEELING LUCKY! And I love the pillow with the big olive-colored flower on the white background.

I don’t really have any lucky rituals right now, but when I played sports in college I had a lucky song I listened to before every game!

I do a few of the traditional things…knock on wood and toss salt over my shoulder if I spill it. And I always catch the passing dandelion fluff and make a wish on it. :)

My lucky charm is nostalgia, if that makes sense. When I feel like I need luck I carry or wear something with meaning, like the necklace that my sister bought me in France or my dad’s baby ring.

Hmm… I don’t really have a good luck charm. But I do poll approximately a million people (give or take 10) to get a feel for my decisions. So perhaps my lucky charm is familial input?

    I’M FEELING LUCKY!
When I was a teenager, my mom gave me a very small stuffed cat as a good luck charm before a swim meet. Her mother had given it to her as a good luck charm when she was in school before her final exams in French. The cat had a little ribbon around its neck to which my grandmother attached a tiny card on which she’d written, “Bonne Chance” (“Good Luck” in French). I still have that cat. It’s the only thing I have that has my grandmother’s handwriting on it.

These Plum Cushion pillows are fabulous. I particularly like the Sassari Ikat Cushion in Pumpkin — gorgeous!
