Whenever I fly, I wear a miraculous medal my grandmother gave me, which was given to her as a child. She always felt that wearing it kept her safe, and would always check that I was wearing it when she knew I was traveling. Even now that she’s gone, and I’m not very religious, I still wear it when I travel.

I don’t usually believe in lucky charms, but my pup Merlin protected me and possibly saved my life during a backpacking trip on the AT, when a man was lurking around my tent in the middle of the night. I loved him before that but ever since then he’s been more protective of me, and I don’t exactly complain! :)

One of my lucky superstitions, is it I do really well on a test, the next time I have a test in that class I try and recreate the previous day so that I will do well on this one. I’ll sit in the same seat, use the same color pen.
