The randomly selected party girl (or guy) this week is… Mackenzie (who said “In 2 weeks I am attending a welcome home party for the return of two very close friends who just got done completing service in The Dominican Republic through The Peace Corp!”). Congrats!
Clara’s turning three in two short weeks, which means our minds are shifting into birthday party mode. And to get the celebration started early, we’re dishing out $500 worth of festive party supplies to one lucky winner. First we have $250 to SmashCake And Co, where you can stock up on everything from pretty paper straws to milk glass cake stands.
Next up is $150 to spend at Lindsay Letters, a shop full of beautifully handwritten prints, canvasses, stamps, and other dreamy goodies. She has a whole section labelled for babies and kids, but don’t let that hold you back from hanging her stuff in an adult space (we think it would look good anywhere).
And finally we’ve got $100 to spent at Dino Cape, where Clara got one of her favorite accessories. We bought her a cape from this Etsy vendor because of her recent fascination with dragons (they’re kinda like dinosaurs, right?) and she’s obsessed with it. A hundred bucks to spend there is enough to score some for your kiddos/nieces/nephews – or a matching pair for you and your spouse’s next Game Of Thrones themed costume party.

PARTY Time! April and May are always busy months at our house. My Birthday in late April, our anniversary on May 1st (yes, today!) and my fiancés Birthday on May 6th. Plus, May 1st is a national holiday in my country and people gather on April 30th to “dance into the month of May”.

PARTY TIME! The last party we had to plan for was our Holiday Party before Christmas. We made goodie bags for each guest, had Candycane Martinis as our specialty cocktail and had homemade hors d’oevres. I had a special Christmas music playset for the ipod and it was a fun filled evening.

My last party was a Rock of Ages themed birthday party that my friend and I threw for her husband. Everyone was encouraged to dress in their best 80’s rocker gear and we brought a costume for the birthday boy to dress up as Stacey Jaxx (Tom Cruise’s part in the movie).
