Fab Freebie: Moore Candice To Love

*** This contest is now closed – see who won below!***

And this week’s random winner is… Stacy (who says “when I was little, I got the local radio dj’s autograph and thought I was so cool! Looking back, it is just funny how silly it was!”). Congrats Stacy!

We love us some Candice Olson (and still pinch ourselves that our faces share a webpage with her over on BenjaminMoore.com). So we sweet talked our way into a little Benjamin Moore / Candice Olson prize for you guys – including a signed copy of her latest book, Candice Olson Bedrooms. So once you’ve torn yourself away from petting her signature (not that we’d do that, ok we totally would) and are ready to put that Olson-spiration to use, Benjamin Moore’s gonna lend a hand with two gallons of their Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, a $50 gift card, and your very own Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck. And if that’s not enough of a Candice fix for ya, you can enter to win a personal design consultation from her over on Benjamin Moore’s site.

Benjamin Moore Giveaway2

  • PRIZE: Two gallons of Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, $50 gift card, a Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck and signed copy of Candice Olson Bedrooms courtesy of Benjamin Moore.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MOORE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what other autograph have you snagged? Did you get your favorite band to sign an album cover? Or receive a signed letter from a big name public figure? Maybe you got a big novelty check signed by Ed McMahon? Or just a sweet crayon-drawing signed by a niece or nephew?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Sept 12th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States & Canada (we couldn’t leave out Candice’s homeland!)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Benjamin Moore.

    MOORE ME – Please!

No autographs, so this would be a first! This would be perfect timing because I just talked my husband into repainting our great room (need his help – 12.5″ ceilings) after living with a paint colour I didn’t like after finishing just one wall the last time we painted 4 years ago. And of course, I love Candace!

I have a strange collection of autographs. Mostly from rock bands I saw in concert when I was in high school or college. A few baseball players. And one astronaut.

We just finished up our dining room and are ready to conquer the living room! We have a guitar in front of our fireplace signed by a local musician, Bruce Robison. We hope to paint the inside of the (non-working) fireplace a fun color.

I never got a autograph from a well known person but when I was about 10 my friend and I went around our neighborhood and got autographs from all of our neighbors! Boy they must have thought we were strange, we told the neighbors that just in case they move or die we needed to remember them in some way!!! LOL.

In high school I got to attend an H20 concert and got Toby Morse to sign my T-shirt. Now, this wasn’t just any T-shirt, oh no, being the ever so clever kid, I decided it would be awesome to wear a Mr. Bubbles T-shirt (get it?). Toby signed my right sleeve and I felt my heart flutter. I no longer have the T-shirt, but I still have the sleeve!

Probably my favorite celebrity signature (we have lots of signed sports stuff) is my David Cook signature (you know, from American Idol :-) ). We live in his mom’s neighborhood, but he and I had never met. She got us backstage passes to one of his concerts and he was the most adorable, sweetest guys I have ever met. I could be his mother, but a woman can dream….

I got an personally autographed picture of the band, *NSync, for my little neighbor who was in the hospital undergoing treatment for liver cancer. They even spelled her first name correctly: Stacey. She was the talk of the hospital! (My cousin was the “music mogul” who discovered and created boy bands including Backstreet Boys and O-Town. He’s in prison now, but that’s another story — I’ve got his autograph on numerous worthless stock certificates.)

For the geek in John, although it’s not your professional field, I have a Radiological Science textbook personally autographed by Stewart C. Bushong! hehehe
